Choosing student accommodation in London usually comes down to a few practical questions: How far is it from university? How easy is it to get around? And will the room and shared facilities work for you day after day? Surrey Quays Landale House answers those questions with a well-connected location, a choice of room types and spaces for both studying and relaxing.
Located on Lower Road in Surrey Quays, the residence puts students close to supermarkets, cafés, transport links and several London universities. The accommodation includes en-suite and non-en-suite rooms, so students can choose between a little more privacy or a shared flat setup.
With bills included, furnished rooms and useful communal facilities on site, Surrey Quays Landale House London gives students a straightforward base for living and studying in the capital.
Moving to London for university can take some getting used to. A familiar routine helps, and having the places you need regularly close to your accommodation can make that adjustment easier.
Landale House Surrey Quays offers a mix of private rooms and shared living spaces. Students can choose non-en-suite rooms within shared apartments or opt for an en-suite room if having a private bathroom matters more to them. Shared kitchens also give flatmates a natural place to cook, eat and catch up.
There are spaces outside the bedrooms as well. The study lounge and meeting room can be useful during busy weeks, while the common room, TV lounge and games room give residents somewhere to spend time between lectures. Outdoor courtyards add another option when you want to get out of your room without heading into the city.

The room is only one part of choosing student accommodation. Your commute, the bills you have to manage and the facilities available in the building can all affect how easy everyday life feels once term starts.
Some of the reasons students consider Surrey Quays Landale House include:
En-suite and non-en-suite rooms to suit different budgets and preferences.

The Silver Ensuite and Platinum Ensuite options give students more privacy while retaining access to the shared facilities elsewhere in the building.
Electricity, gas, water, Wi-Fi and contents insurance are included within the rent. This keeps the main accommodation costs together rather than requiring separate utility arrangements.

Awful! Nightmare! Disaster! Terrible! DON’T ever choose Landale House otherwise you will be in repeated nightmare!! Since moving in, I’ve dealt with a persistent flooding issue for over 1.5 months. Despite repeatedly reporting it, the staff remained passive, and the flooding continued, even severely damaging my personal belongings. The water has even leaked into the downstairs area, causing water damage to ceilings below. Issue #2: Additionally, a broken refrigerator went unfixed for over two weeks, causing food spoilage and resulting in food poisoning and diarrhea. Issue #3: The handle of the flat door was broken and even strangers easily sneaked into our flat and personal belongings were stolen! Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere!

Loving it - it genuinely is a lovely place to stay at ; staff are super responsive and lovely and the building for student accommodation and especially in London is quite nice ! The kitchen is a tiny bit small but for student digs it’s honestly alright !

I stayed in this accommodation for one year. The one great thing about this building is its location; close to Canada Water station, food stores, leisure centre. Other than that, my experience within the accommodation was not the best. There were multiple times throughout my tenancy where the heating/hot water was not working, and when it was reported, it was not met with any urgency in regard to fixing it. The furniture is quite basic, and things were not very clean when moving in. My bed frame was broken, and it took numerous months for management to sort it and get it replaced. Their website mentions one of the perks being a free gym membership, but this membership is free for anyone who lives in Southwark, so it really is not a perk specific to living in Landale House, rather just the borough you live in. The grounds are not kept clean, and each weekend I would see more rubbish left around the grounds. The side street leading to the building was not well lit, which made me quite nervous to walk down when getting home after dark.

The place feels a bit overpriced but the overall experience has been great. It's close to the tube station. The staff is also very helpful. The best thing I love about this place is the common room which has a mini pool table💯.
