Since I moved in last September, there has been continuous construction with no real break. It started with them dismantling every single apartment door in the building — removing each door, lowering the frame slightly, and reinstalling it (this affected all rooms). The process created an enormous amount of dust. I had a dust allergy and had to take antihistamines for an entire week because of it. After that, they began repairing smoke detectors (or whatever that are inside the ceilings) on every floor. This month, they started working on the corridor doors. In just half a year, there has been nonstop drilling and construction noise that seriously affects your mental well-being. The maintenance workers often play loud music and chat loudly while working. They also leave trash behind. On my floor, they left dirty gloves and leftover ketchup in the corridor for a long time before management finally cleaned it up. What makes it worse is that residents are not always notified in advance. Many times, I was woken up by sudden, extremely loud drilling, only to find out at reception that yet another repair project had started. There are three elevators across the buildings, but at least one elevator is broken around 80% of the time. Residents are often forced to detour and use elevators in other buildings. On average, it takes more than a month for an elevator to be repaired. Overall, the constant construction, poor communication, and unreliable facilities make this a very stressful place to live.

They have a habit of setting off the fire alarm at 11 am every Tuesday to see if it works. They come into your room for “safety checks” once every month without permission or even notifying you about it. So if you're away just know theres a chance someone goes into your room randomly. But overall the place is nice.

Extremely disappointing student accommodation experience. During exam period, contractors suddenly entered my room and seriously startled me. Construction glue and paint fumes entered my room and caused discomfort while residents were still living here. Maintenance issues are often not handled promptly, yet there have been constant repair works over the past two months with loud noise almost every day. The management and living experience have been very poor.

I've been living at the Curve for the past couple months and it's been a little rollercoaster. However, the accommodation is very nice and ever since Shahzannea started here ( Who is honestly the sweetest and super friendly) has been so quick and efficient. She makes sure everything is sorted and has made my experience here so much better so a huge thank you to her!!

During the past week, there has been continuous internal maintenance work in the building. The noise generated by drilling and construction has been significant and has affected residents’ ability to rest and carry out normal daily activities. During the maintenance process, there have also been repeated instances of heavy banging on walls and doors, producing sudden and extremely loud impact noises. There was also an incident during a previous maintenance visit where staff attempted to enter my room. At the time, I clearly informed the staff member that I was changing clothes and asked him to wait. Despite this, the male staff member still attempted to open the door and enter the room. In addition to the internal maintenance noise, there is also frequent external construction noise around the building. Loud construction sounds occur regularly. Furthermore, there are often instances of cars racing outside with aggressive honking, which further contributes to the noise environment. The fire alarm system has also been triggered during very late hours, including during the night, which disrupts residents’ rest. The lift in the building has also been a persistent issue. Since moving into the accommodation, the lift has been under repair for most of the time and has rarely been in normal operation. Finally, while some staff members are professional, there have been instances where certain front desk staff members displayed unfriendly and unhelpful attitudes. Overall, the ongoing maintenance work, repeated noise disturbances, lift outages, and inconsistent staff service have had a noticeable impact on the overall living conditions.
