As occupants of the dormitory, we are left with minimal fresh air circulation as the only option available to us is a mere two-centimeter gap, which fails to provide adequate ventilation for the rooms. This restriction significantly hampers our ability to maintain a comfortable living environment and affects our overall well-being. It is essential to prioritize the health and comfort of the residents, especially during extreme weather conditions. Furthermore, it is disheartening to observe that the dormitory's front office has installed an air conditioning system for their own comfort while neglecting the needs of the residents. This inconsistency creates an unfair disparity, as those responsible for enforcing the policy seemingly prioritize their own convenience over the well-being of the individuals residing in the dormitory.

I have been living here for two years and decided to renew my lease for another term. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Once, I asked for assistance with a bug issue, and they came early in the morning to help remove the bug and spray insecticide, which I really appreciated. The location is very convenient—just a 3-minute walk to the train station. However, rooms closer to the train station can experience some noise. Despite this, my overall experience has been positive, and I enjoy living here. If Building A could be equipped with in-unit washers like Building C, it would make the living experience even better!

1. the worst ventilation ever, i’m currently on the 4th floor, the tiny gap in the window does NOTHING and the vents are so bad they bring no air in! 2. the elevator STINKS in block B, like someone had thrown up in it, they sprinkled something on the carpet and left it like that, the smell has got worse and no one has even seemed to acknowledge it or care, it’s horrid and for the amount of money i pay, it’s ridiculous 3. there is not enough fridge space for all 8 people, it’s unliveable 4. they don’t mention how incredibly LOUD the trains are, which is going to happen but no notice and it shakes the apartment! 5. the staff are so rude and the maintenance take 2 working days to even bother to read your messages and then don’t even do it right?! 6. you can’t have someone stay for more than 3 nights so over holidays it’s so lonely, you have to sign in everyone with a photo! my grandfather just needed to come in to use the toilet because he’s elderly and they refused to just let him in for 5 minutes without signing in! 7. they make you tell them how long you’ll be gone for over holidays? they hound you until you tell them! it’s horrid! 8. the wifi is SO BAD! it disconnects constantly and takes 5 minutes to reconnect! For the money you pay, it’s silly! Stay in a different accommodation or stay at your uni, wherever it is just don’t pick here! ESPECIALLY not for the price!

The rooms get way too hot with windows that barely open. While staff enjoy air conditioning downstairs. HOWEVER -tip for anyone who lives there: the window locks are easy to unlock with a cheap key jiggler from Amazon. You can also unscrew the safety catch so the window opens fully.

Lived there 2022-2023 in a gold studio. Unfortunately like all the rooms, it was far too hot as windows barely open. My room regularly reached 25 degrees in the summer and sometimes 30. Had a self contained apartment with my partner, took us over 3 months of back and forth phone calls to head office and director of the company to finally get a window key by signing a declaration form. But even then it was still uncomfortably hot as they only opened about 4 extra inches. Got environmental health involved at the end and they said they had lots of complaints from occupants which cathedral point thoroughly denied. Both of our mental health really declined because of the heat and lack of empathy from the staff… they had also installed an air conditioning unit downstairs for their office… couldn’t even do that in our room and the windows didn’t open enough for the tube to fit through. Best advice- don’t live there
