About this property
The first few weeks at university usually answer one question faster than anything else: "Did I choose the right place to stay?" Daily walks, grocery runs, late library evenings and quick coffee breaks soon become part of the routine. Park House accommodation fits naturally into that routine with private studios, practical facilities and a central Southampton location.
Address:
Park House
102–108 Above Bar Street
Southampton SO14 7DT
United Kingdom
The address places Park House between Southampton's main shopping streets and Palmerston Park. Westquay Shopping Centre, supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and local bus routes are all within walking distance.
Southampton Central Railway Station is also nearby, making weekend travel and journeys home much easier.
The room matters, but so does everything outside the building. University, supermarkets, transport and study spaces all become part of the same weekly routine.
Walk to Southampton Solent University
Southampton Solent University is close enough to reach on foot, so lectures and campus facilities stay nearby throughout the semester.
Private Studio Living
Every room at Park House accommodation is a self-contained studio with its own kitchen, bathroom, study desk and storage. You don't need to share cooking or bathroom facilities with other residents.
Bills Already Included
Electricity, gas, water, Wi-Fi and contents insurance form part of the weekly rent, so there are no separate utility payments.
City Centre Location
Westquay Shopping Centre, cafés, restaurants, supermarkets and local services are all nearby, making everyday errands much easier.
Facilities Inside the Building
Study rooms, a gym, common room, laundry, karaoke space and regular social events give residents plenty of options without leaving the building.
Every room at Park House student accommodation in Southampton is a private studio. The main difference comes down to floor space, layout and park views.

Morning classes are a lot easier when you don't have to think about changing buses or leaving home an hour early. From Park House, Southampton Solent University is only a short walk away, while buses from Above Bar Street connect directly with different University of Southampton campuses throughout the day.
Missing an early lecture because of a long commute is much less likely when your accommodation already sits in the middle of the city.
You won't need to depend on taxis every time you head across Southampton.

A train home for the weekend, a bus to campus or a walk into the city centre all start within a few minutes of the building.
Nobody spends an entire university week inside their room. Most days include a supermarket stop, a coffee before class, somewhere to revise, and somewhere to eat when cooking feels like too much effort.

Westquay usually covers everything from a weekly food shop to replacing something you forgot to pack. Palmerston Park offers a quiet break after lectures, while Southampton Central Library gives you another place to work when your room starts to feel distracting.
University life quickly settles into familiar habits. You'll probably end up using the same supermarket every week, catching the same bus to campus and ordering coffee from the café that remembers your name. Park House student accommodation puts those everyday places close together, so your time goes into university instead of travelling across Southampton. Before you book, compare the available studio options and pick the one that fits both your budget and the way you plan to spend your week.

During my Erasmus exchange programme at the University of Southampton, I lived in a lovely Unilife studio. As I was only in Southampton for one semester, it was very convenient that Unilife offered accommodation for this shorter period. It was very nice to have your own space in a studio which offers all the comfort to feel at home. I loved the location because the studio is situated in the dynamic city surrounded by countless shops and restaurants. However, once inside the building, I was able to enjoy the quietness. A perfect combination! The Unilife staff was approachable and responsive to all enquiries. This support system made it easier to be living abroad.

I've recently had a viewing at Park House, ready to move in September and I can't thank Frank enough for his professionalism and willingness to help me understand the accommodation benefits, procedures and payment methods. He has been nothing but helpful and consistent in helping me book the right room and make sure the process in doing so is correct, whilst helping with any questions I had about it. I was already very interested hence the communication but from this, it encouraged me to book the room straight away as I'm excited to live here and be apart of the Unilife residents. I will update my reviews as my time with the company continues, thanks again to Frank for being amazing and friendly. Update: 10/03/20 Again I'd love to shout out Frank here at Unilife, who has been helping me endlessly to now find me summer accommodation. I appreciate his patience and continuous communication in order to help me find the right place for the transitioning period. He has even offered me help with sorting out which financial plan will be the most feasible, which shows me trust and understanding which most places don't have. So, so far I'm very happy with the service I'm already receiving and now I'm just waiting to move and start my time here at Unilife. I will update once I've settled into the accommodation!

Lovely place to live. Being in the centre of Southampton is a dual-edged sword, and you may want to sleep with the window closed to save yourself the noise from the park, but Unilife has done a lot to make relatively small flats very livable. Our room made use of its space very well, meaning you can still have quite a few things, even in a studio apartment.

Great students' accommodation located at the city centre with many amenities provided within the residence and close to everything one may possibly need! The bus stop for the University of Southampton is just 3 minutes away! All studios are new, smartly designed with a sense of good taste and most of them provide a really nice view of the park. I'll definitely miss my studio there! :)
