Enjoyed my stay here this year, and have decided to rebook for next year! Modern and relatively spacious studio room (I'm in a Sapphire) for the price. The room itself comes with a fully fitted private galley kitchen with hob and combi oven, as well as shower room, cabinets/desk, all bills and internet. The location is nice, close to shops (Lidl 10min walk) and cafés as well as bus stops. Also opposite the park which is nice when it's warm! About 15 mins walk or 7 mins scooter to Solent Uni so close enough to commute. Management and Maintenance are very responsive and accommodating with a helpful app to report any issues (such as a broken light etc). The building has a laundry room with Circuit machines, as well as a common room with a pool table, TV and study space. Can't say I've had any issues here, would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay while studying at Uni!

Serious Privacy Violation! Avoid this place (Surveillance Footage as Evidence) I was sleeping naked in my room when a staff member forcefully entered, exposing my completely naked body. I clearly stated that I needed time to put on clothes, but that staff ignored me. After reporting the incident to the manager, they downplayed the situation, refused to admit any wrongdoing, and kept repeating that they had notified me about a room inspection. But that does not justify barging in while a guest is still naked and hasn’t had a chance to get dressed. There is absolutely no basic respect for guests at this apartment.

Really enjoy my studio in Queens Gate. Located in a tranquille and modern community, 10mins walk to the city center. Although there’s no reception, the staffs and wardens respond very quickly. Also, There’re regular activities in the common area of the apartment:)))

The internet connection in the dormitory is highly unstable. For students, a stable and reliable internet connection is a basic necessity. However, the current situation often makes it difficult to complete assignments. Frequent disconnections interrupt study progress and cause significant inconvenience. In addition, the curtains provided in the rooms are not blackout curtains. This is quite unfriendly for residents who are sensitive to light, as it seriously affects the quality of rest. The cold water tap often releases hot water instead. Although this may not be a major issue, it reflects a long-standing problem that has yet to be addressed and still causes inconvenience in certain situations. Lastly, the stove is unable to support long periods of cooking, such as simmering or stewing. It can usually only handle cooking two to three dishes at most, as it tends to overheat after a while and automatically switches to low power mode, which affects cooking efficiency.

The overall management of this apartment is absolutely terrible. First of all, the room design is extremely flawed—the smoke detector is installed directly above the stove, which means that even light cooking will trigger the fire alarm for the entire building. Even more frustrating is that the entire accommodation is managed by only one student accommodation assistant. On multiple occasions, the assistant was not on site, resulting in the alarm sounding for extended periods—one time it lasted nearly two hours without being addressed. This has caused major disruption to students’ daily lives. When I first moved in, the accommodation manager, Emma, was responsive and actively replied to emails and addressed issues. However, over time, she completely stopped responding. No matter how many times I reached out, I received no reply or resolution, which has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. This level of management is completely unreliable. It is clear that this manager is unfit for the role and should be replaced as soon as possible.
