Yugo Austen House, southampton

I’m a first-year undergraduate student, and I’ve just rebooked my stay at Austen House for next year! I really love its location—it’s only about 150 metres from Lidl, so I can pick up groceries easily on my way back home. I also like the staff here, especially Susan. She’s always gentle and patient when helping me sort out any problems in the apartment, like collecting parcels or arranging repairs. Austen House is my first choice for everything, whether it’s the location or the services. If anyone is looking for student accommodation in Southampton, I’d recommend Austen House to everyone!

Cannot fault the place! Perfect location, great room albeit walls are relatively thin and I have had issues sleeping as a result but they dealt with the issues perfectly! Knew within weeks that I'd likely be re-booking a studio for second year. The staff are also great with any and all requests, Susie cannot do enough to help you with any problems that you might run in to during your stay! I highly recommend Austen House for anyone looking at studying in Southampton.

Austen House is located in the center of Southampton, surrounded by many shops, including Chinese shops, Lidl and Tesco, etc., making it very convenient to purchase daily necessities. It only takes a few minutes to walk to the bus stop from here, so living here is very convenient. The apartment rooms are fully equipped and the front desk staff are all very friendly.

Great experience! The staff are very responsive and handle any issues promptly. The location is perfect: just a 2-minute walk to both the bus stop and a Chinese supermarket. Highly recommended.

GUYS. DO NOT STAY AT AUSTEN HOUSE. IT IS HIGHLT NOT RECOMMENDED FOR YOU TO STAY. This accommodation is literally the worst ever. The yugo team is the worst here. When I first arrived, I stored some stuffs at their storage room which i paid for £30 per week. They have moved my things without any notices. As a result, they have lost one of my thing which is a lamp which costs £120. I have been chasing for my lamp over two months. And finally they gave me a respond, they are really sorry that they have lost my lamp. And I asked them to claim me back my money, and they will only do it if i have an actual paper receipt/ digital receipt. WHO WOULD KEEP THEIR PAPER RECEIPT AFTER BUYING A LAMP??? so are they saying if i don’t have a receipt it means i stole it?? I have also sent them the price from amazon nothing worked. I had to go down to the reception every single day to chase for an update. After things are just they do things damn slow. Slower than a normal speed. My heater in my room does not work AT ALL. I have asked the maintainers to fix it for me and he said nothing is wrong with my heater it’s just your room has to be cold at certain point. LITERALLY. I AM SUFFERING FROM THE COLD EVERY SINGLE MORNING. I messaged them on the yugo app a few ago, I allowed them to enter my room when i’m not here, I have no idea rather they have come or haven’t they just don’t give me any updates on it. PLEASE GUYS DO NOT STAY AT AUSTEN HOUSE. IT IS THE WORST ACCOMMODATION EVER IN THE WORLD. THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR BUT I HAD TO PUT IT. THIS ACCOMMODATION IS JUST -100/100. NEGATIVE.
