Living in this student accommodation has genuinely been one of the best parts of my university experience. The environment is welcoming, well-maintained, and perfectly suited for student life — whether you need a quiet place to study or a friendly atmosphere to relax in. What truly makes this place stand out, though, is the incredible team behind it. Hannah, Erjola, Sam, and Sabrina all go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. They’re always approachable, supportive, and quick to help with anything, no matter how big or small. Their positive attitudes and dedication really create a sense of community here that you don’t often find in student housing. It’s clear they genuinely care about the residents, and that makes a huge difference. Thanks to them, this isn’t just accommodation — it feels like a place where people look out for each other and where you can truly settle in and enjoy your time as a student. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

My issues are structural and with management, not the people on the ground. **Waste management:** For much of my time here, bins on the first floor would overflow regularly, with bags left in the hallway. This was not an occasional issue. It was a recurring pattern that the building's management failed to address systematically despite the dedicated sanitation workers doing their jobs. **Lifts:** If you are assigned to Block B or C, be prepared for frequent lift outages. With floors reaching 15+, this is a genuine accessibility and quality-of-life issue, particularly during exam periods and warmer months. **Temperature and ventilation:** Rooms and kitchen areas have no air conditioning. Certain room configurations, such as corner rooms in Block A, receive minimal airflow. Given the price point, which approaches that of private luxury accommodation in the area, this is a significant shortfall. **Safety**. There’s a well known issue of homelessness that often leads to safety issues in the reception area. Homelessness is common in London but prospective students or parents need to be aware that there have been multiple occasions where alleged intoxicated individuals enter the building and posed serious safety concerns to the point police are required. A frequent area for these individuals to stay medium-Long term is right beside the windows of the gym. **Water outage:** During my final year, the building experienced a prolonged period of severely disrupted water supply. While Unite may describe this as "reduced flow" rather than no water, the practical reality was that I was unable to shower at the property for several days during warm weather and had to travel to friends' homes to do so. **facilities** pool table has been in quite a state, queue sticks are snapped in half by people and take ages to be replaced, ping pong table nets have been broken for a long period of time. **Conduct of a staff member:** I want to document this carefully because it was the most serious incident I experienced here. During the water outage period, while I was attempting to obtain drinking water, a member of the night team made a comment that referenced my menstrual cycle in front of other staff and students. The comment was humiliating and entirely inappropriate. Management's response was a verbal acknowledgement that it was wrong. I did not receive a formal apology from the individual concerned, and no further action was communicated to me. The matter appeared to be considered closed upon my graduation. I am documenting this here because future residents, particularly young women, deserve to make an informed choice about where they live. To prospective students: the day staff are genuinely lovely. But the building's management, maintenance systems, and accountability processes fell consistently short during my three years here. The room has been a huge disappointment. I moved in 5 days ago, and ever since, I've been disturbed by a loud, constant noise of water running through the pipe coming from the ceiling. Most of the time, the sound is extremely loud, almost like something heavy is dropping from above. Even when it quiets down, it never fully stops. There is no point during the day or night when the room is truly silent. I CAN HARDLY SLEEP AT NIGHT and even woke up startled at 5 AM due to a very loud bang. I’ve reported this issue every day through the Unite Students app and to the reception. A staff member came to check once, but nothing was fixed, and there’s been no communication or update. The noise is getting WORSE. This has seriously impacted my sleep, stress levels, and mental well-being. For the price of this accommodation, I expected at least a quiet and livable room. Sadly, I’ve received neither so far. I hope the management will take this issue seriously and resolve it as soon as possible.

It’s such a lovely accommodation with good amenities. Great location with great transport links. The staff are amazing and very helpful. I will miss Hayloft Point.
