Arches On The Lake Student Living, athens-ga

It’s a good place to live. Nothing fancy, but it’s on the UGA and ACC Transit bus routes, and the price is reasonable for the location. The complex isn’t new, so we’ve had a couple maintenance issues over time. Don from the maintenance team has been great. Thanks to him, everything has been fixed and running smoothly - despite my dog's strong protests to anything alive entering the apartment, but even this Don handled like a pro.

My roommate and I have lived here for two leasing terms now, and it’s truly the best place to live in Athens. We’re in a two-bedroom standard—cosmetically it isn’t the “fancy” kitchen/bathroom setup (compared to the premium), but we made it our home and wouldn’t change a thing. We’ve constantly enjoyed the amenities (pool swims, summer afternoons outside, and plenty of pickleball), and we’ve had so much fun at all the events hosted at the clubhouse. I’ve also gotten VERY familiar with both the office staff and maintenance team, and I can say with full confidence they’re the best and most understanding people in Athens. Hannah, the leasing manager here at Arches, is one of the most dependable and genuinely sweet people. My roommate and I always look forward to seeing her and chatting about silly random things. I’m so sad to be graduating—not just because I’m leaving college and my friends, but because I’m leaving the little home I’ve built here at Arches on the Lake. It’s truly been the best experience.

While when we first moved in, we had experienced some pest problems however that was swiftly taken care of through our own efforts and the combined help from the Arches team. Our neighbors were extremely friendly and welcomed us to the complex within the first week. One of the neighbors, Kaylee, actually works in the front office and was very helpful with me and my roommate getting settled in. Very friendly people with an outrageously gorgeous property almost anywhere you go. Despite other reviews that could deter people from this place, I think this is a wonderful community and an excellent opportunity for any student at UGA looking for somewhere to live. I have lived here for 2 years now, and it has been a great experience. The maintenance team is excellent and really tries to get everything done as soon as possible, and leaves great notes on jobs in progress. Don is especially great, and you can tell he really cares about keeping the place nice.

Don has been absolutely wonderful. He is incredibly skilled at what he does and always resolves maintenance issues quickly and efficiently. What truly sets him apart, though, is how friendly and welcoming he is. Don always takes the time to say hello, check in, and have a quick conversation, which makes the community feel much more personal and comfortable. His positive attitude and willingness to help make a big difference, and it’s clear that he really cares about the residents and the quality of his work. We’re very lucky to have someone like Don on the team.
