Apartment complex was nice, day-to-day staff is nice. Take pictures of EVERYTHING when you move in. I was charged falsely for failing to remove a pantry rack which was there when I moved in and for removing a rack in the fridge that was never there to begin with. Because the total charges were only about $90 it wasn't worth it to fight either.

I’ve had a really frustrating experience living here. The door system is terrible, the Bluetooth entry barely works, and most of the time you have to stand there yanking on the door repeatedly before it finally opens. It’s inconvenient and honestly ridiculous for a building that is supposed to be secure and modern. There’s also constant noise issues. The washer and dryer above my unit are unbelievably loud, to the point where it sounds like the machines are practically inside my apartment. On top of that, there seems to be construction going on all day, which makes it hard to relax, study, work, or even sleep in peace. For the amount of money residents pay, the building should have much better soundproofing, a more reliable entry system, and better communication about construction noise. Overall, living here has been much more stressful than expected.

I never leave reviews but I truly love living at The Flats. I am in a 2 bedroom premium apartment and it is super nice and spacious. I just resigned for my second year living here. I think the rent price is very fair, the only thing is sometimes the electricity bill can be pretty high. The maintenance team is top tier!! They are by far the best that I have ever heard of or encountered. James is the maintenance supervisor and Quin is also a maintenance professional and when I submit a work order it is fixed that day. Not only is it fixed but they go above and beyond. They care about us and our safety and the overall well being of the building. James is always out there cleaning the pool as well and Quin takes the recycling out multiple times a week. Also the leasing agents are great, they host many community events and are super friendly and helpful. The package room/system is also really good and reliable. Lastly, I have NEVER seen a bug and that is a big deal and kind of unheard of.

I have lived here for almost a year now and it has been great! The apartments are very spacious and the appliances are high quality in comparison to other student housing options. Maintenance and the leasing office both respond quickly and are efficient in solving problems. The furniture provided is comfy and functional, and stylish too. Personally I love the walk-through style closets that lead straight into your private bathroom. The parking lot gates combined with the electronic key locks on the main entrances and your front door and bedroom deadbolts make me feel safe from harm here. Walking to campus is a breeze, it is only 10 minutes from the psychology journalism bus stop. The gyms, study spaces, and wifi are all fantastic. I would definitely recommend paying the up-charge for a river view, because it is worth it! If you're thinking of applying definitely do so sooner than later, because they fill up fast.

I enjoyed living here and overall it’s a decent place to stay, though on the more expensive side. The staff who answer the phones were always helpful and kind. Unfortunately, the leasing managers who handle move-out disputes were ineffective communicators and came across as rude. The apartments are nice and the staff is great—until you move out.
