The Redland Apartments, athens-ga

I’m on my 2nd year living here (already signed a lease for a 3rd year), and I can confidently say I LOVE it here! The maintenance team is always on their A-game, and the ladies in the office have always been incredibly helpful and friendly! Sydney and Michaela are always so welcoming, and never seem annoyed by my endless questions. Nancy sets an amazing standard, and her incredible leadership in the office does not go unnoticed!!! SIGN A LEASE! it’s the best decision you’ll EVER make!

The workers at the office are great people. However, we had a hole in our ceiling since the summer and we put in a maintenance request, they came on October 2nd to fix the hole. The maintenance people even mentioned “this would explain why this apartment is so hot.” Maintenance is unreliable and they blame it on being busy, it took me calling daily so they could listen to our requests. They gave us a five minute warning before shutting off the water for hours. The convenience of the Athens Clarke County bus stop makes this location nice, however it doesn’t run super often by the apartment complex on weekends or during breaks

I recently toured The Redland Apartments and was really impressed by it! The leasing staff was very kind and Nancy was very knowledgeable of the property. I felt very welcomed here. The amenities were really nice! I could definitely see myself spending a lot of time in the common area and at the sport courts. Additionally, it is pretty close to UGA campus and there is a bus route that stops here, which is really convenient for students.

There isn't a single nice thing I can say. I have lived here for two and a half years and not once have I experienced anything positive. For starters, there was a serious BLACK MOLD issue that was handled so poorly. Not only did they cut a huge hole in our wall, they refused to relocate us. They had giant fans and dehumidifiers going that eventually killed our electricity so we were in the dark for a few days. We also had to pay an outlandish electric bill because of the fans. There was a terrifying shoot out that left bullet holes in the walls. Many cars were hit and damaged during this incident, and it was lovely to find bullet casings around my car. I was terrified to walk into my apartment after work for WEEKS after this. Management doesn't let you know about the additional roommates you will be forced to live with... THE ROACHES. I pride myself in being a clean person but the roaches are unavoidable. Pest Control literally walks in, checks if anyone is home and if they get no answer they leave. The vendors they had replacing carpets left my front door open and I came home from work to find my cat missing, and though Jack from maintenance did stop by to apologize, I received no help in searching for my pet. The revolving door that is management never fails to disappoint me. After my roommate had a mental breakdown and threatened to kill me (literally ripped the door knob out of the door) I notified management and they basically said, "Sorry not our problem." Nothing has given me more joy than signing a lease elsewhere and I can't wait for move out. I'm sorry to all of the people that the redlands has tricked into signing here.

This apartment should be called The Roach Motel. If I could give it zero stars I would. It is infested with live German Cockroaches. We have unfortunately signed a lease with The Redland and after months of German Cockroaches crawling through the apartment, no amount of treatment on their part can eliminate this infestation. No matter their efforts, the roaches continue to walk around the apartment. We have requested the ability to break the lease, with cause, and have been met with complete resistance. They simply don’t acknowledge the emotional stress and physical harm that comes from living in a roach infested apartment. It doesn’t matter how often they treat, the roaches come back regularly. I would not recommend you ever sign a lease here. Unless you love roaches.
