The room is astonishingly big. In flat you have a storage room where you can fit 2 bikes without issues. Apart from silverfish and laundry charge this is suprsing amazing pleace to live.

Horrible student accommodation. Moved into a dirty flat none of it had been cleaned full of other tenants dirt and rubbish. No one seemed to care the staff don’t care about wellbeing at all. Mouldy bathrooms, silverfish, rodent infestations, vomit stains no one came to clean until many complaints later. In general, a dirty accommodation. It’s one of the cheapest in Sheffield but it’s genuinely not worth saving money on you’d be much happier anywhere else. I complained many times to the staff and even ended up writing a massive complain email to Leadmill Point and Unite Students in general asking for my last rent installment back as I had no choice but to move back home as soon as my uni lessons ended as it was unbearable to live there. I was told there was nothing they could do so I ended up paying over £800 for my last instalment despite handing my keys back in. Worst part of it all, they tried to make me pay £40 to have my room cleaned out once I’d moved out for another tenant to move in. Disgusting considering I moved into a filthy flat and it wasn’t cleaned ever in my time of living there. Consider living anywhere but here

I love my home in Leadmill Point and I love how friendly and supportive the staff here! 🤍 Huge thanks to the plumber Josh for fixing all the issues in my bathroom and the whole flat as well 🙏🏻

My First impressions of the accommodation was shocking. To start with the kitchen, cob webs in every corner, little to no draw space only have 2 draws between 6 people, and a fridge with liquid residue which smelt as it it was not done for months. The worst part was the bathroom, it was covered in mould and the wood was getting rotten this is due to the ventilation not working and still not working, their workaround was just to paint over it when i forwarded a complaint. Very uncomfortable living here to the point i try and stay in the flat as little as possible. For the price and length of stay its deeply upsetting.

Unbelievable how lackluster the pest control is, after 5 reports on the app there was no improvement, just one more mouse trap put down. Saw media reports of the problem and Unite students response mentioned that students are liable for cleaning of the kitchen, that we did, and there was no improvement (been to an accom 2 minutes down the roads kitchen which was 10x worse with bin bags left for weeks and there was 0 pest issue). When these mice or rats started getting onto the worktop and in the cupboards I raised it to someone at reception who said there's nothing they can do as pest control is done by a third party. Not an appropriate response when the third party is employed by Unite Students themselves. So I'm left with a couple weeks left of my stay having to just accept that mice are going to be on the worktops and in the cupboards and in the rooms. Not to mention the state of the mould in the shared bathroom. I would post the image of the dead mouse on my kitchen floor but I'll save anyone that misery. I understand that I'm paying a small amount compared to other accommodation in the city but this is a serious health issue when rodents are able to be in the cupboards that we store food and utensils in (probable mice feces found in a mug I left in the bottom cupboard). I encourage anyone to fork out an extra £10 per week for somewhere else that cares about the health of their occupants.
