I’ve had such a great experience living at Unite Students Battery Park. From the moment I moved in, the atmosphere has been welcoming, safe, and genuinely supportive. The building is always clean and well-maintained, and the facilities are modern and comfortable. The location is also perfect — close to university and the city centre, but still peaceful enough to focus on studying. What truly makes Battery Park special, though, is the staff team. Aga is always so professional and kind, and she goes out of her way to make sure residents feel heard and supported. Marcelo brings such positive energy to the building and is always ready to help with a smile. Farah is incredibly approachable and efficient — any questions or concerns are dealt with quickly. Tony is friendly and dependable, and you can tell he genuinely cares about the students’ wellbeing. Hannah and Bee are both amazing — so warm and welcoming, and they create such a friendly environment. Sam is always helpful and patient, especially when dealing with day-to-day queries. Serena is also fantastic — organised, supportive, and always willing to go the extra mile. Overall, Unite Students Battery Park feels like more than just accommodation — it feels like a community. The team truly makes it a home away from home, and I would highly recommend it to any student looking for a safe, friendly, and well-run place to live.

A very nice apartment with great views from the upper floors and an excellent location. It is very close to the University of Birmingham, with many shops nearby for convenient shopping, and excellent transport links. The staff are very friendly and Carol is a very patient, kind and enthusiastic young lady who can assist Chinese students with their issues in Chinese.

Great internet connection, app to track parcels with notifications, room found clean and tidy, security is great. Located on top of sainsburys and gym, superdrug, greggs very close by. 15 min walk to uob. student support is also great. heating is not enough so helpful to buy your own heater. Staff is very kind and helpful, always available. Study spaces are very clean and available.

I would love to recommend this accommodation to any first year student. it is great proximity wise as it is located between two retail parks and close to campus which is great for the price. the staff are also really helpful and take care of anything you need.

Rude and unempathetic staffing Certain staff members seem to exemplify traits of superiority complex, lack of empathy and understanding and just generally creating difficulty from positions of power. Twice I’ve been met with Loud argumentative conclusion jumpers for what reason I do not know. Today however a certain staff member by the name of Aga decided to allow me to exit the building at 2:20am without my guest for fresh air and a snack. Upon my return she asked for her keycard and the refused me access to the building. Claiming that I needed my guest to retrieve me. Unfortunately for me it’s 3am and she is fast asleep like a normal student preparing for a busy day ahead. I explained that if you had told me this prior I would have not left the building. I called over 30 times in front of her to no avail as she was like I said asleep. Instead of offering assistance she coldly told me to go home or stay here till the morning downstairs in the cold as well as repeatedly mocking my situation and reiterating that it’s none of her concern. I refrained from being rude and disrespectful in the hope of resolving the situation however this was to no avail. In quest of a solution I urged her to go or send another team member to knock on the door to wake her so she could retrieve me. Do you think a difficult person would agree to a solution? Ofcourse not and that’s fine it’s just very revealing for your character and true nature. Before i exited the building she even complimented my hair. We are not strangers to each other, I am a frequent visitor never been flagged always respectful and I always sign in. Sometimes it’s nice to use common sense and discretion. Even if certain rules could not be bent I provided a solution. Sadly because of this I will have to demote my prior 5 star review to 1 star. I will not be communicating with her again or any staff in hopes of removing this review. It’s genuinely sad to see. Stayed downstairs for a total of two hours till 5am before a morning bus arrived. Appalling shocking service.
