Update: 10 total intrusions. 4 days interrupted my sleep. 5 hrs of sleep lost. I wouldn’t recommend living here if you have any sense of privacy. They have been in my unit 7 times, four times in one day, to “check out” an empty room. At least the girls rang the door bell. The guys just let themselves in if you don’t immediately open the door. I have never woken up to a random guy in my living room (at least 3 times) since I started living here. To make matters worse, after the 3rd intrusion of the day where I couldn’t even get dressed because they kept showing up or letting themselves in, I asked the shorter guy, “do you have the key or not?” He got extremely angry and agressive and not yelled but threatened “We’re gonna in here as many times as we want today and tomorrow. I know you got a problem with us comin in here. But we’re gonna trash out that room. We’ll drill out the lock. We gonna come in here as many times as we want. Don’t care what your problem is” So come live at Univ 2505. Not only do you get people letting themselves into your unit 4 times a day, you get angry aggressive guys threatening you while you’re trying to get dressed. I agree with previous reviewers. They also lied to me about the renew rate. Said $909 is the lowest rate but as soon as they get you on the line for $909 turn around and offer $799 and say “it’s just what the computer decides the rate is that day.” Funny when you’re offering in advance. Make it 5 times a day. 8 intrusions total. Oh the aggressive guy is back. Yay. At least he brought the 2 nice guys with him.

I honestly would not recommend living at UV2505. My experience has been really frustrating overall. The staff is unorganized, unfriendly, and often unsure about basic policies. Every time I ask a question, I get a different answer depending on who I talk to, which makes everything confusing and stressful. There’s a clear lack of organization, and it feels like no one is really on the same page. The people working in the clubhouse seem uninterested in helping residents. Overall, it doesn’t seem like the staff and people in charge truly care about residents’ concerns. When issues come up, they are not taken seriously or handled effectively. Another major issue is safety. There was an incident where over 20 cars had their windows smashed and were broken into, which was really concerning. We also had a serious issue in our apartment where we heard noises in the ceiling for months and reported it, but nothing was done. Eventually, a squirrel actually fell through the ceiling and ran around our apartment. This was clearly a safety hazard, and it was very upsetting. No one in the office offered reassurance that it wouldn’t happen again. On top of that, they weren’t even the ones who removed the squirrel; we had to remove it ourselves because they said they didn't know what they could do about it. We’ve also been dealing with a roach infestation, which has only added to the frustration and concern about living conditions. Another thing is that the gate to the property is constantly broken. To make matters worse, the management has been dishonest about rent pricing. They posted that the rent would be $900, claiming it was the lowest it could go, and encouraged people to resign. Two months later, the rent decreased to $800, but they refused to do anything for the residents who were misled. A positive thing I can say is that the maintenance staff has been kind and helpful. Another positive is all of the amenities, especially the pool and the gym. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for the overall experience. Overall, I’ve found this place to be disorganized, unhelpful, dishonest, and disappointing.

Apartment management’s logic is non existent. They tell us fairly last minute that they are changing our locks and we have to exchange keys. Second, in their emails they said they would all be done in one day. Then they say you can only exchange keys during office hours, so if you work, have class, or have any sort of life you are screwed and cannot get your key, and to top it all off you cannot pick up keys for your roommates. So, if everyone works, good luck getting into your apartment. Then when I came to pick up my key, they say they actually do not know if all units will be completed today despite their email saying otherwise. Mine had not been done yet. I had to leave and wouldn’t be back until after hours, bc you know I HAVE A JOB. So basically whatever i decided to do I would be screwed cause I don’t know what type of lock I would be coming back to. None of my roommates were able to come at all to get their key, so there was absolutely no way to get into the apartment. I am literally taking a gamble on if I can get into my apartment based on what key i decide to keep. And all they could say is “I don’t know what you should do.” Not mad at the front desk people, they just work there and don’t make the rules but oh my gosh never stay here cause this is a nightmare.

There’s been no shuttle service for months now, the shuttle just sits in the parking lot taking up a visitor parking spot. Even when there was shuttle service (like they advertise to prospective residents) it was very off and on because the shuttle was always breaking down. I feel cheated by management because I’m paying for a service that was promised to me and still doesn’t happen. The only really good thing this complex has is the maintenance team. Cory and Rashad are super nice and friendly and always respond to maintenance requests quickly. Management, please start shuttle service again and maybe give the maintenance guys a raise because this place would fall apart without them.

EDIT FOR MARCH 2026: Despite their reply to this review promising a fix to the apartment shuttle, since then, the shuttle downtime has actually never been worse, with it being usable for just one (1) out of 16 weeks. In addition to everything else I mentioned previously still being a problem, 40+ cars in our parking lot have since been broken into since our gate never works (and if it's not permanently open, its permanently closed, so good luck getting to campus with no shuttle). We also spent days without water while they opened a huge hole in front of the building, leaving the complex randomly smelling like sewage in the weeks leading up to them fixing it. and yup there's still mad roaches. I hope no one looking for off-campus housing has the same misfortune I did of thinking they should live here. P.S. just live around Hillsborough Street because at this point it's the same price with probably less roommates Previous review: Shuttle is constantly broken down, the apartment won't rent a replacement, and it doesn't come to campus at predictable times, so you'll either miss it because it came fifteen minutes early, or have to wait 30 minutes to get picked up with no way to tell where it is at any given moment. Maintenance has refused to fix the unglued floorboards that have been coming up ever since we moved in, pest control hasn't stopped by since they said it would to take care of the building-wide cockroach problem, and communication is sparse, late, or nonexistent regarding things like lapse in service, delays, or fire drills. The front desk staff and shuttle driver are very nice and the community events are fun. But overall, I can't help but be increasingly frustrated with management.
