I took over a lease at this property, and the lease documents were unnecessarily confusing and did not provide important information. The office workers were less than helpful when I called and assured me that I would not be charged for the month when I took over the lease because I was starting on the 16th, but then I ended up having to pay for the entire month anyways. Do not take over any leases from here; the office does not care about you and will not help resolve any issues. The property itself is not well-maintained, with numerous bugs, rusty sinks, broken toilets, etc. I wish I had gone with a different company for housing because the fees and rent that isn't prorated drove up the costs and made it stupidly expensive for the dingy and poorly furnished place that I got. The chairs also cause back pain due to a metal bar on the back, which makes them very uncomfortable. The furniture in the apartment seems like the cheapest stuff they could find, which makes it ridiculous that they charge $25/month for it. The light in the property is also very lacking, and the kitchen and breakfast area never receive natural light, making it even more depressing.

Living conditions during move in day was terrible. Stains on the carpets, dirty ventilation, roaches and other insects, and just dirty living conditions in general. The worst part was move out. I moved out on a weekend and they are not opened on Sunday, so I was told to put my keys into the rent drop off box. I did what I was told and now am being charged $130 for missing keys because they are unable to find my keys. I told them to check cameras and have been in communication with almost everyone at the office since July. It is now August 28th, almost September, and they are still stating they cannot find my keys and that I still have to pay. Why would it be my problem when I followed the instructions given to me and you guys can’t find my keys? I told them to check cameras and am still waiting for the issue to be resolved, but I keep getting the same answer that I have to pay the charge. DO NOT LIVE HERE. I have it easy compared to other people who are getting charged way worst for things they did not do during their lease. It isn’t even cheap anymore either. My advice is to stay at a nicer place because it will save you a lot of hassle and time. It is weird how they do not have cameras at the rent drop off box…

I wouldn't recommend Campus Crossings to anyone. It is a shady company. First of all, I have photographic evidence that there is black mold in my former apartment. I found it after maintenance had left the door to the utility closet unlocked. Normally, they keep the door locked. I found patches of black mold on the wall behind the water heater. After submitting a maintenance request they cleaned it however, that was just the mold that I could see. No telling what's in other parts of the building. My apartment was dirty when I moved in. It is evident that apartments are not cleaned in between tenants. There were various stains, a few holes in the walls and the carpet was filthy. By the looks of it, the carpet in every room had not been rug doctored nor replaced for quite some time. A valve to the AC unit broke and water leaked into my carpet, even after that management refused to clean it or offer any type of professional cleaning service. The staff are not very friendly and communication is lacking. The only good thing I have to say about CC is their roommate matching service. I am still close friends with my roommates. Parking is accessible and easy for guests. The amenities are decent. The pool appeared to be dirty nearly everytime I visited. The furniture they provide is cheap. Appliances (such as washer and dryer) needed near constant maintenance. One of our friends who leased at CC the same time as us had his car broken into, along with several others. The location is convenient to both downtown and State’s campus. However the bad outweigh the good. If you care about your health and wallet avoid this place like the plague.

Towards the beginning of living at Campus Crossings, I will admit that I was not impressed. I was excited of course, as it was my first adult apartment, but I had to do a lot of cleaning when I moved in and had some issues with my appliances. However, throughout the time that I have lived here, things have continuously improved, and the staff here have done their best to meet my needs (For example, they quickly replaced my washer and dryer when they weren't functioning properly). Other than the one time it took like three years for them to replace my dishwasher, maintenance has always been very prompt and receptive. The maintenance people are also very nice and approachable! The office sometimes sends emails a little late (For example, they send emails the night before about air conditioning filters being changed the next day), but everyone in the office is very kind and approachable. The landscaping, exterior, and organization of this entire complex has improved over the past few months because of the effort of the staff here. I'm honestly very sad to be moving, but my situation has changed.
