I lived at the Brittany from September 2024 to June 2025 and was pretty disappointed with my time here. I can confidently say I would not recommend living here. Apartments have cinderblock walls, cheap amenities, gross carpet, and rickety kitchen cabinets. The most disappointing part is the management of these properties. You will be charged for e v e r y t h i n g that you do or don’t do. Management is unwilling to work through false charges with tenants and unhelpful—seems to care about charging extra fees to each roommate more than creating a good college living space for students. The cost is not worth it, and utilities are always higher than projected in the contract. I’d suggest living elsewhere.

I would not live here again. I chose this place for the fall/winter contract which was not worth it at all. It didn't make much of a difference money wise and I would rather have a nicer place and sell my contract than pay more, shorter term for this place. I ended up paying around $600 a month with utilities excluding laundry which was about $4-$5 each time for one load since the dryers never dried my clothes in one go. This total also excludes the carpet cleanings we had to pay for twice on the super crusty, ripped carpet. It is not renovated at all and the bathroom was so crammed. In my floor plan we only had one sink. If I got home after 9:00, parking was completely full and I had to park several blocks away. When I moved in there were highlighters, chapstick, and a little brush on the floor between the bed and the desk (definitely was not professionally cleaned). When I moved out, I spent a very long time thoroughly cleaning and was failed and charged $17, which I wonder if they'll even put towards cleaning the place for the next tenants because that was not the case when I moved in. The walls are thin both inside and outside, the AC was super loud, and the floors squeaked badly. While everything is outlined in the contract, the management had some random, strict rules. The three positive things I would say is that maintenance was super quick, cleaning checks are not very often, and the rooms are a pretty good size. Maybe it would be worth the monthly price if you got the year contract instead but I do not recommend the semester based one.

Don't live at these dumpy apartments. My Daughter has lived there 2 years now. The units are very small and outdated. No matter how much you clean, they still ding you and charge you for cleaning fees. The carpets are old. The bathrooms are nasty. They desperately need s paint job. Plus they smell old. I personally helped clean my daughters apartment and inspected everything after she was done. I used to be a a janitor, so I know how to clean. They still charged her cleaning fees. My daughter reserved the main rec room for her roommates birthday. Yes a couple of the friends were climbing on stuff, which they shouldn't have done. They didn't damage anything. Brittany management charged her a cleaning fee for both scuff marks left by pool cues and silly string. The scuffs have always been there and she didn't have silly string at her party. The management and ownership are not honest. DON'T LIVE HERE.

The biggest issue with these apartments is how old everything is. The apartment had recurring problems, and even though maintenance came out multiple times, the same issues kept happening. It felt like a temporary patch rather than real repairs. The unit I stayed in for the last six months also had a constant bad smell that never really went away and the parking was always a hassle. Also, no matter how clean the apartment is you’re likely to get charged a cleaning fee.

There are lots of fees and utilities that add up quick, making everything come out to around $470. There is a good amount of space and the living room setup is nice, however the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathroom are quite lacking. The microwave and dishwasher are from the 60s and the carpet and floor is bad. The chairs and desks are flimsy and uncomfortable. The AC is loud and doesn’t cool down evenly. Some of the window blinds are unusable and the closets, cabinets, and drawers need fixing. Also the door doesn’t seal tightly and there is a random hole in our wall (allowing the occasional black widow spider or mouse to crawl through). The lounge is decent, although the laundry prices just got higher. WiFi is trash and cuts out randomly throughout the day, even though you pay $20 monthly for it. There are lots of things management could fix but they don’t. And then at the cleaning checks they expect you to make an apartment that dates back to the Cold War look like it was just refurbished. All things considered though, the ward is super nice and I still had a great time here. Edit: After checking out they charged for carpet cleaning that they never did and for cleaning checks even though they didn’t say why and the apartment was clean and left way better than when we moved in.
