I had a good experience living here. Small & cosy complex with nice apartments. Rent is one of the best prices around. Management is very reasonable, and not owned by a nightmarish corporation like most of Provo. Chill cleaning checks, no outrageous fees. They have a beach volleyball court and tennis court. There's a pool (but it's closed half the year, and no hot tub). There's a lounge room with lots of couches and a massive TV. Laundry facilities are open 24/7. It's coin-only, but they have a change machine. Parking is never a problem, even when they sell spots during BYU home games. Maintenance is fast and responsive - never takes more than a week. Flat rate for utilities, Google Fiber for cheap. Only 1 desk provided per room, so you may need to buy your own. The wards are friendly and fun. Church building is in Orem, so a little far. BYU stadium is next door, and there's a convenient BYU shuttle stop across the street in Wyview. I hope all this information helps you in your apartment search, dear reader. Alta is a good place to live! Docking a star because they're raising rent, which is a little disappointing.

I would probably put 4.5 if I could, but Alta is closer to a 5 than a 4. I've been here for almost 2 years now and I love it! First, the location! I love not having to deal with the congestion that is south campus housing. You are close to the neighborhood market and other grocery stores. I really enjoy being by the stadium for easy access to games but it can get relatively loud but nothing too too crazy on game nights. The marching band has never personally bothered me, but they do practice in the parking lot behind my building. My least favorite thing about the location is that it can be a bit of a walk to BYU campus especially since most of my classes are south, but it is worth it to avoid the craziness that is south campus living for me and the BYU ryde shuttle has a stop at wyview across the street that makes up for the commute. Second, management is fair, communicative and super responsive. The biggest asset to Alta is that it's family owned, so you don't have to deal with any of the management companies that own most of Provo. The prices on their site are what you pay. Cleaning checks are always fair and I don't think fail fees are super high either. The apartments are older but generally well upkept and they are working on renovations as well. Third, parking, I can always find parking in the lot and the price is pretty fair. They do sell part of the lot during football games but you can get in if you show your door fob and there is generally parking unless if you are getting back really late and the game is still going. Another complaint is the size of the kitchen. There is like no counter space, and somewhat limited cupboard space. But there is a good pantry and we also use the storage room for pantry use as well. We also have a table in the kitchen to help with prep so all in all it is a workable kitchen, just slightly cramped. Fourth, the people. Everyone here is super chill and nice. It is a mix of BYU, UVU, graduated students and other young working adults that live here. Overall, great place. The price is pretty dang good for provo and I love not having to worry about dumb fees, and while the apartments aren't the most amazing things you will see they are plenty liveable and feel like home.

I really have enjoyed living at Alta!! There is a pool, basketball court, and volleyball court. The ward is very social. I felt included right when I moved in. It has been my favorite place to live. Cleaning checks are easy as long as you clean. I have had no problems with management. They are very easy to get a hold of. It is close to the Stadium and Marriott center, which is awesome if you love going to the games. There is noise, but it is not horrible. Parking is amazing. There is so much, which never happens in Provo. Overall, living at Alta is the BEST and you should totally consider it.

I have really enjoyed living at Alta. The location is really convenient as far as getting getting to Orem or downtown Provo. It's also not far from the BYU bus which is nice considering it is about a 30 min walk to the main part of campus. I liked my ward a lot and I've heard great things about the other ward as well. The rec room was super nice to use for events and I also loved having a volleyball court. Management was responsive the few times I needed them and cleaning checks were very chill which I appreciated. I don't love that the laundry machines only accept quarters- those were always hard to track down. Overall I think these apartments are some of the best value you can find for the price. …and the chances of you finding love while living here is extremely high. I saw it happen an abnormal amount.

Though the apartments are older, they are still very nice. It has updated bedding and different appliances. I've lived at Alta for about 7 months now, and they've been really great at fixing things and making sure we stay on top of cleaning checks. It is right next to the stadium, but it's not bad if you have noise cancelling headphones, or you just learn to live with it. It's really a great apartment, and there are great wards! It's kind of in the middle of things, so going anywhere in Provo isn't that hard. I've really been loving my experience here!
