I dont write negative reviews ever. But this time it is absolutely abysmal and unacceptable. We moved into our student house with absolutely zero wifi available because a functioning router didnt exist. Imagine having uni work to complete but you cant even log into your uni account let alone messaging and communicating with others, on top of that you already got charged. Where is the common sense from UniHomes. I have emailed them several times about a date for which a router can be delivered to us and heres the most useful thing that i got: “We apologise for the delay with the Virgin Media broadband set up, this is a nationwide issue at the moment and they are working hard to resolve it however at the moment we are unable to give an estimated date.” Fantastic, so you have a nationwide issue but have absolutely no urgency to provide your customers with a definitive fix time frame whilst simultaneously charging them for your advertised package. By the way, we are not the only people this has happened to, read some of the other 1 star reviews, lots have had similar situation to us. We have had no option but to purchase additional mobile data packages on top our existing ones just to ‘get by’ if you like, which is a significant amount of money for us students. Ironic isnt it when UniHomes advertises themselves for uni students. I have also emailed them about some form of reimbursement and all i got back was essentially a ‘maybe’. Great fairness isnt it. UniHomes are great for if your trying to search for students houses local to your uni (at least in my experience) i wont deny that, but their bills package comes with so many issues, not just with wifi, but from the other reviews it seems they also dont pay the bills companies the tenants’s bills money leading to overdue bills letters being sent constantly, and also people getting charged multiple times in a month. Be careful guys.

This is the worst utility company I have ever encountered. We signed a contract with them with an unusual situation that we were assured would be no problem, only to be strung along for three weeks without activation and no answers despite many, many attempts to communicated. They proceeded to tell us there was nothing they could do, we were lied to by the sales member, and that we could cancel and that was it. They are liars with no regard to student well being.

I hate leaving bad reviews but it has to be done. My flatmates and I moved into our new place and we’ve gone two weeks without wifi. It took THIRTEEN phone calls for them to say we’re not getting a package anymore (we had already paid for it to be included in our bills) and now as third year uni students we have to either work at cafes for wifi or we’re screwed and have to pay for our own separate package. I’m sorry but that is actually unacceptable and the guy we spoke to on the phone did not care at ALL. this is terrible customer service and I expect to receive a service that I pay for, not have to beg for it! Do not use Unihomes for your bills or you will be dissapointed and it seems we’re not the first!

Satisfied with the Billing package service provided by UniHomes. Make life easier that they manage all the bills throughout year. Their supposed and service team are really nice and polite and resolve issues quickly. Happy to opt them.

We have been without WiFi since the 6th January. It is now the 17th February and there is still no WiFi. We have called over 8 times asking for assistance and multiple times been told that deliveries are on their way with no results. It wasn't until the 4th call that something was actually done and they told us the SIM card had been cut off randomly. We were eventually sent a new SIM card which doesn't work with the router. We have called after this asking for assistance and have been told we would receive a call back. Both me and my flatmate have had to use Mobile Data for this entire time and now the signal in our flat won't even allow that. Utterly ridiculous service for a company focused on students. I can't even log on to any of my university websites and they don't seem to be in any rush to help.
