I’ve had a great experience with this property so far. The apartment community is really nice, and the process of getting everything set up was smooth and exciting. The office staff has been very helpful whenever I had questions, and they are always welcoming and professional. Anytime I needed help understanding something about the apartment or the leasing process, the staff in the office took the time to explain everything clearly and made the experience a lot easier. It really made me feel comfortable choosing to live here. Overall, it’s been a positive experience and I’m happy with my decision to live here. I would definitely recommend this property to others looking for a good place to live.

Wanted to edit my review because the new management and maintenance have truly turn this place around! The new manager is a absolute sweetheart, and management and maintenance team are so much more attentive to the property and on top of it, they’re all very polite and kind! I’ve noticed that the property altogether has been so much cleaner than it was with the old management, along with that i’ve yet to have any other problems since new management has come along. It’s definitely still at work in progress though, but I have high hopes that this place can turn around with the help of the new management, because this place is in a great location with spacious apartments and nice amenities. They are also pet friendly which i love and if theres issues with pet neglect or aggressive dogs, new management tends to handle it pretty quickly. I also wanted to mention that the pool has looked amazing and I love lounging outside by it. One thing that has bugged me is that in all my time of living here the gates have been closed only a few times! When you pick a gated complex you tend to hope that the gates will be functioning. If this management was here when I first moved in I would have be so content with this place!!!

Love love love my experience at Villagio so far! Move in went smooth and I love being so close to Texas State! Having a shuttle stop nearby makes it convenient to go to and from campus. Right now I’m in a 2x2 which is very affordable for a college student. Definitely renewing for another year!

Don’t be fooled by the good reviews. They are from people who only toured. My partner lives here and it’s been the worst. Since the beginning we have had issues with the leasing office. They never answered my partners calls but would answer mine without issue throughout the year making random excuses each time. They had very few visitor spots but removed some leaving even less of them. When we ask for a visitor parking they say they don’t do that but during the tour they said they do. They say it’s a gated apartment complex but for the entire year the gates didn’t close. THE WORST PART of this whole year was how they refuse to admit they messed up without letting my partner know they were going to renovate their room. No text, no email, no call, no voicemail. They kept repeating that they did but there is absolutely no proof of said communication. When my partner was allowed back into their room we found that they shoved all of their items INSIDE the tub and any counter space available in the room. My partners lease ends next month. Renovation could’ve been done when they moved out.

Posting this review on my gfs account because Google sucks and won't let me switch to mine. This apartment has gone downhill SIGNIFICANTLY since being under new management. The new management is incredibly invasive constantly going into apartments to check on things and they've been 'upgrading' the complex. By upgrading I mean removing all of the color to repaint everything white and black. This includes cabinets btw and the ONLY reason ther repainted the cabinets white is so they stain easier and can charge you for it. They did not NEED to replace them as they were perfectly fine. They also 'redid the parking lot' which was supposed to take 3 weeks but instead took around 3-4 months and had residents parking across the complex from where they lived the whole time. the makeover didn't even last a week by the way. The straw that breaks the camels back is today they did an UNANOUNCED check up on my apartment for the furniture. So respecting privacy is not a thing I guess. Apparently my litterbox for my cat is not very clean and I'm getting reported for it. Not warned, reported. Not only that but my cat who is an emotional support animal WHICH I REGISTERED WHEN I MOVED IN is now going to be charged for because Apparently I have to renew the registry. Once again NO WARNING or time to fix mistakes. Just immediate action. You know maybe if I knew an inspection was happening I would've cleaned the damn litter box. I've been working so much recently I've just been too tired but screw me for that right. This is not my first problem with inspections either. They announced an inspection a long time ago and i had to stay awake for it (i work overnights) to make sure my cat didnt get out. They never came that day so I lost sleep for nothing. Not to mention this apartment keeps increasing in price, by a lot. Likely due to all of the unnecessary upgrades. This complex used to be cheap, uninvasive and understanding but now it's just awful. If you want to confirm check the dates of positive reviews. I cannot wait to move out.
