The Village at Muller Park, bloomington-in

At first glance, the village seems like a great place to live; a nice pool, decent gym, and spacious apartments. However, management is horrible. Me and my roommates have faced countless issues this year including pest control, winter parking, and most recently they charged me move out cleaning fees for a shared living space that one of my roommates was still living in! Trust me, they’re not worth the hassle.

I lived here for 2 years in college and overall, it was a great place to stay for the very cheap price I paid. Every person having their own bathroom is a huge plus, and the shared spaces are very spacious. We did have to put in multiple maintenance requests, but they were always taken care of in the next day or two. My main complaint is some ridiculous charges I was given upon move out, such as charging me to replace a single lightbulb and to put new batteries in the smoke detector (normal wear/passage of time should not be charged??). But overall a great, cost-effective location for college students.

I lived here for 2 years going through college and while its a nice place to live they nickel and dime you for everything. When we moved out they tried to charge me for so many “violations” like excessive cleaning needed but i had time stamped pictures showing that i took the pictures 5 minutes before we turned in our keys. I had to send them the pictures and tell them i wasn’t paying anything! My advice take pictures before you move out, they will try to scam you!

Everything about this place is perfect and all amenities look exactly as they have been shown online! From the very nice and cheerful staff at the office, who will go the extra way to literally be ready to help you at any time, for any sort of problems you face; to the study areas, cafe, pool, resident events to table tennis, swing, gym, billiards and a golf area! Especially as an international student, you will feel like you are living in a resort 24/7. Infact there is also a free shuttle service by The Village, running on the weekdays, to take you back and forth to college! The mail is securely delivered either at the mailbox, doorstep or the office. You can borrow stuff like a vacuum cleaner too! Moreover, the bookmobile van comes right in the colony area for members of the mcpl library, who can then pickup and return books! P.S: This is not a paid review, believe me. The apartment complex takes advantage of college students. They add rediculous charges like $70 to replace 4 lightbulbs. Not only do they charge them, but they take the money in their account before the charges can be disputed. They took my daughter’s utility money to pay their bogus charges. They also do not repair or replace damaged items in units such as washer and dryers. Do not live here!!
