About this property
University life in Bristol moves quickly. Lectures, part-time jobs, food shopping and evenings with friends soon settle into a routine, so where you live starts making a real difference. King Square Studios Bristol gives you a private place to come back to without putting campus or the city centre out of reach. Every room is self-contained, bills are included, and shared spaces give you somewhere to study or spend time outside your studio. If you've been looking through King Square Studios reviews, location and independent living are two things that come up repeatedly.
The address puts you a short walk from many of the places students visit every week. Cabot Circus is around 10–15 minutes away on foot, Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station is roughly 1.2 miles away, and Stokes Croft is close enough for coffee shops, independent cafés and evenings out. The University of Bristol can be reached in around 16 minutes on foot, while City of Bristol College is also easy to reach by public transport.
Students who want city-centre accommodation without giving up their own space often shortlist King Square Studios student accommodation for exactly that reason.
Every student wants something slightly different from accommodation. Some prefer complete privacy after lectures. Others want good shared spaces without sharing a bedroom. King Square Studios Bristol strikes that balance well.
Here's what makes it a popular choice:
The property works particularly well if you'd rather have your own kitchen than share with a large flat.
Every room at King Square Studios student accommodation includes a private bathroom, kitchenette, study desk, storage space and furnished living area. The main difference comes down to floor space and layout.

Prices may change during the year depending on availability.
Students who enjoy complete independence usually choose one of the studio options, while friends booking together often prefer the Twodio or two-bedroom en-suite flat.
Rent covers most of the regular household costs, making monthly budgeting much easier.
Life at King Square Studios Bristol isn't limited to your room. The building includes shared facilities that students use throughout the week.
Coursework becomes easier when you have somewhere quieter than your room. Dedicated study rooms give you another place to revise, finish assignments or work on group projects.
Movie nights, games with friends or simply taking a break from your desk all happen here.
An on-site gym saves both time and the cost of travelling to another fitness centre.
Small things matter after a few months at university. Laundry facilities, secure bike storage and an on-site maintenance team help make daily life much easier.
Secure accommodation gives you one less thing to think about while you're away from home.
The first few weeks at university usually tell you whether you've picked the right location. A long commute gets old quickly, especially on early mornings or after late library sessions. King Square Studios Bristol keeps several universities within walking distance or an easy bus ride, making everyday travel much simpler.
Students who book King Square Studios student accommodation usually spend less time travelling and more time on campus, in the library or back at home between lectures.
Bristol Bus Station is only a few minutes away, so travelling across the city rarely becomes complicated. Buses run throughout the day towards university campuses, shopping areas and different parts of Bristol.
Montpelier Railway Station works well for local train journeys, while Bristol Temple Meads is the main station for regional and national travel.
Many students also cycle because central Bristol has dedicated cycle routes. TIER e-scooters are another common way to cover short distances.
The city centre is close enough that plenty of daily journeys can simply be done on foot.
University life quickly settles into familiar habits. You usually end up shopping at the same supermarket, grabbing coffee from the same café and taking the same route home after lectures. Most of those places are already within easy reach of King Square Studios Bristol.
Weekly shopping doesn't take much effort because several supermarkets are nearby.
Stokes Croft has no shortage of places to eat or stop for coffee. It works just as well for breakfast before lectures as it does for meeting friends later in the day.
King Square Gardens is an easy place to spend half an hour between classes. St Werburgh's City Farm gives you another option when you feel like getting away from busy streets for a while.
Most clothes shopping, phone accessories or last-minute purchases happen around these areas.
Your room isn't always the easiest place to finish an assignment. Bristol has plenty of quieter study spaces when you need a different environment.
The gym is already inside the building, but another option is available nearby if you prefer a larger fitness centre.
A pharmacy or hospital is never something you plan to visit. Knowing where they are before you need them always makes life easier.
Music, street art and independent venues have been part of Stokes Croft for years, so evenings and weekends rarely feel quiet around this part of Bristol.
Six months from now, you'll probably know your regular coffee order, your quickest walk back from campus and the supermarket that fits your budget. That's usually what makes accommodation feel convenient. King Square Studios student accommodation in Bristol keeps those everyday places close together while putting Bristol's universities, transport links and city centre within comfortable reach. A lot of King Square Studios reviews mention exactly that. It isn't about one standout feature; it's about how easily everything fits into daily student life.

I’ve been having such a lovely experience at King Square Studios, both in terms of the space itself and the team behind it. The studios are so beautifully planned, the layout makes the place so perfect for living alone, well maintained, and has a really welcoming atmosphere. And the monthly events they host are always honestly so thoughtfully put together. From the setup to the little details like the goodie bags, you could tell a lot of care and effort goes into planning everything. It’s rare to see events done with that level of intention. The team is the highlight for me, so warm, approachable, and genuinely kind. The make the whole experience feel even more personal. Overall, such a great environment with an amazing team. I’d definitely recommend both the property and any events they host.

Maisie and lily has been supportive throughout my tenancy at King Square Studio. Jake and Bridget are generous while having conversations and also in there work. Even the security staff is jolly, helpful and available 24/7.

PLEASE PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DON’T BOOK HERE. IT’S ENTIRELY A FRUAD PLACE. This place is a scam. The glossy photos and fake promises disappear the second you sign the contract. After that, you’re on your own. Basically, most of the comments here are true and people are making genius advice not to stay here, I list some points I experienced apart from what has already listed here. The facilities in this building are extremely old and a lot of them are not working well. But the company is charging everyone with the latest price without fixing or refurbishing the building. My room’s toilet was very old and not functioned well. But when I report to the management, they just say that this is what it is. Some of my acquaintances living here also have various problems caused by the old facilities, but the management team just let them wait or tell them that this is not a big issue. Following that, their maintenance team is extremely slow, and you wait for weeks to have a ‘check-up’, meaning they come to investigate the issue. Unless it’s simple enough they can fix it with both hands, you need to keep waiting for further arrangements. When you speak to the receptionists, they just tell you to wait and care nothing about how your life is impacted by the problem. Some people smoked in their rooms during my stay, but when I report this to the management team, they said some very beautiful words about how they’re gonna take care of it, but they just did nothing. I kept complained this upwards towards their company, and they took off their mask and tell me that it’s not their job to take care of individual’s behaviour in this building, and tell me to do whatever I want, call the police, keep complaining, they just don’t care. I cannot imagine how can they just ripped their job so easily. Do you dare to put this on your website? This building is NOT 24-hour staffed. The main reception opens from 9-5 Monday to Friday, with securities here from 8pm to 8am. Rest of times, there is just nobody on hand to help you. Any packages delivered out of these time are just left at the public area. And all the management did was to put a disclaimer saying that lost delivery is not their responsibility. Once again, don’t book this please, as what you see from their website are basically not true. They care nothing but your money. Simply just look at their ridiculously high price, if you cannot afford it, definitely go somewhere else. If you can afford it, trust me, there are huge number of places in Bristol that you can rent that is much better than this place but with the same price. I don’t want to see people next year coming to this channel to write comments with angry and regret because of living here for a year. Your university life is too precious to be wasted at this kind of place.

Cons: My accommodation is on the first floor, close to the street. The windows are drafty, making it extremely cold in the winter. Additionally, the sound insulation is damaged, so it's very noisy. I often have people knocking on my window at night, and there's frequent marijuana smoking outside, leaving an unpleasant odor that seeps in. Hot water is often unavailable when I want to take a shower, and the water temperature tends to be on the lower side. The kitchen exhaust fan is practically useless. Despite having multiple buttons, they all seem to be for show as the fan’s suction is so weak it hardly removes any cooking fumes, leading to strong odors when I cook. The building is infested with silverfish. I've heard this issue has been ongoing for several years, but as of 2023, it remains unresolved. The overall condition of the dormitory is outdated, including poor-performing induction stoves and inefficient heating. The maintenance team is virtually non-existent. I've reported my window issue for a whole year without receiving any response. Pros: The receptionists are nice. The location is excellent, being close to the school, train station, and city center. The rooms are spacious. There's ample natural light.

I’ve had the pleasure of living here for the past six months, and I can confidently say that my experience has been nothing short of exceptional, the accommodation is consistently comfortable, well maintained, and perfectly conducive to both academic focus and personal relaxation A special appreciation goes to Big Moo and Lilly, whose professionalism, warmth, and unwavering commitment genuinely elevate this residence, they are consistently affable, approachable, and altruistic, always willing to assist with even the most trivial concerns, yet equally adept at resolving more intricate matters with admirable efficiency and composure, their proactive efforts in organising engaging events reflect remarkable initiative and a sincere desire to cultivate a vibrant, cohesive community atmosphere What stands out most is their authenticity and attentiveness, they go above and beyond in ways that feel neither perfunctory nor obligatory, but sincerely considerate and reassuring, their dedication is truly commendable, particularly in a student environment where support, inclusivity, and a sense of belonging are indispensable Overall, my tenure here has been seamless, gratifying, and profoundly positive, and I would highly recommend this accommodation to any prospective student seeking not merely a place to reside, but a supportive, welcoming, and genuinely uplifting community
