The Red Lion Apartments, ypsilanti-mi

I’ve lived here for a year and I will absolutely recommend it to anyone who’s looking to come here. The only reason I moved out is for school but would have absolutely loved to stay longer. Even though surrounding place might look sketchy, I felt really safe at this complex. I rented a one room bedroom and it was pretty spacious, love the kitchen, bathroom and living room. I only needed maintenance ONCE. And they are very reliable and have a quick fix time too. Outside the complex is kept very well and looks beautiful. No sketchy people. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the weed and cigarettes smell that will linger in the halls. Carpets in the hallways were also a bit dirty but they replaced it later (at this in my building). But overall a really nice place to live

I love the Red Lion because from my first visit, I have never felt unwelcome. The community is full of very kind people, and I enjoy the short conversations with my neighbors. Thanks to the consistent communication from the management team, I never feel out of the loop. It is a quieter community, which I truly appreciate. Lastly, the maintenance is quick and effective. Did I mention they remembered my birthday? I love you, Red Lion.

I lived in Red Lion Too for 3 years and had a great experience. Rachel, Moe and their other staff are so helpful and professional. My maintenance requests were always completed ASAP and Rachel always answered the phone, emailed or texted back quickly. The location is great too, very close to I-94 (which is a blessing during snow storms). The property is well maintained and always clean. When it snows they shovel the parking lot and sidewalks quickly too. The only reason I left was because I needed to move out of state. If not for that, I would have stayed until I was ready to purchase a house. Highly recommend.

Was a tenant here for the past year (August 2024-August 2025) and overall had a great experience! The complex felt secure and well-maintained, and my renovated unit was super clean and modern. Nice ceiling fans and a dishwasher! Maintenance was always quick to respond (and super friendly) whenever I needed anything, and parking was never an issue—plenty of space and easy access. The management here is very communicative and if I ever had an issue, I heard back from them within a day via email. A con I have is the beeping of the gate. I get why there is one, but I could hear it from my unit. And the layout of the buildings are a little wonky, but overall was a very nice place to live!

My husband and I lived here for 2 years and loved it. Maintenance takes care of you, I felt very safe. The only reason we moved it because my husband got a new job and wanted more space because we want to start a family. Dishwasher and washer dryer you pay a little extra but not that much with the water that you will use. I loved Red Lion. Carpets were always vacuumed. Most times I didn't even hear our neighbors. A++
