Lofts on 8th, tempe

I love living at lofts! It’s an awesome community and Kenzie the manager is always doing giveaways and planning cool events! I highly recommend, I love having my own room and bathroom!

I’ve had a great experience living here 😊 I love how close it is to campus, and the community is always clean and well kept. Kenzie is so sweet and always remembers my name, which truly makes the lofts feel like a little community💕

The units are super spacious and modern! It’s a HUGE bonus to have garage parking and garage entry! Have definitely enjoyed living here and Kenzie in the office is great! :)

After having no call-back on my move-out security deposit this is truly my last resort. I lived at Lofts on 8th for 3 years, and I can honestly say the experience ended on a deeply disappointing note. Despite being a long-term tenant who paid rent on time, caused and had no problems with management/fellow tenants, as well as spent days thoroughly cleaning the apartment before moving out (literally on our hands and knees scrubbing the floor, had the carpet professionally cleaned, repainted the baseboards, as well as plenty of hours…better yet DAYS scrubbing every molecule of the place); they still somehow found nearly $100 to deduct from my security deposit for "cleaning" and "paint chipping" (which was clearly normal wear and tear after 3 years of residency with 0 preventative measures on their end of things). Also noted within my charge pictures from my security deposit were cracks across my wall in which I have pictures of the same cracks from when I initially moved in as well as put a maintenance request in approaching move out (I was told that they would be taken care of during turn over yet I was still charged for them!) (we weren’t given the option to submit any pictures of our own on the dispute form or it would have been provided to them). I have tried getting in contact with them about these charges after disputing them as the emails were just going in circles. After trying to call, I was met with an AI phone operator and was not connected to an actual supervisor after calling four times. I then texted the lofts chain number and asked them to call me back… it's been nearly two weeks and I still have yet to receive a call from anyone. If you're going to live here long-term, just know you'll probably be penalized for it. Even worse, during my time there, we had a flood in the unit. Not a small leak ... a legitimate flood that soaked the carpet and went through two floors. The management’s response? Minimal. We had to BEG them to get the carpet replaced as it had gotten SOAKED (they only managed to replace one set of carpeting out of the two… again after having to BEG). No mold inspections were ever conducted. No one came to check the walls, sub flooring, or ventilation for potential issues (when cleaning for moveout, we actually had water spew out at us from the baseboard …) Between the lack of response from their management team throughout living there, the petty deposit deductions, and lack of respect for tenants; I would not recommend Lofts on 8th. There are far better-managed properties in the area that actually respect their tenants and maintain their units responsibly. Seems to me this company just loves to rent to college students who don't know any better where they can earn a quick buck on turn-overs.
