Canvas Tempe, tempe

I absolutely love it here! I have become friends with lots of the front desk workers. They are all so friendly. They always work to fix any issue you may have. Definitely much better employees and management than most other student apartments in Tempe. Unfortunately, the walls are very thin; I can hear every word my roommate says when she’s in her room. I also pay the exact same price as my roommates who have walk-in closets AND larger rooms, while I have the smallest room and the smallest closet which is not walk-in. I wish the people with bigger rooms would have to pay more. But overall, it’s been much more enjoyable living here than other Tempe student apartments. I would definitely live here again.

Stay a long way away from this complex! Do not rent here. They have been overcharging my daughter and her roommates from day one. The management, or I should say lack of, is horrible. Per a phone call Alyssa confirmed we are being overcharged, but continues to still overcharge us each month. The place is filthy, rundown and broken. They could not even clean it up for ASU family weekend. We had to use a different exit each time we left as there was human feces in one of the halls all weekend. The elevator floors were so filthy they were sticky and had the same garbage all over the floor the whole weekend. The hallway carpets are filthy and they smell. The door to come in to the building from the pool was broken so we were locked in the pool area until someone walked by, noticed us and let us in. The washing machine was broken and wasn't fixed for three weeks. Please take a look at the place yourself before you sign a lease. Ask the people in the hallways how they like it there. Canvas is so disappointing! We were planning to rent here until my daughter finishes college, but cannot wait to get her out of there in August.

Aspen is honestly one of the only workers here who consistently knows what she’s doing. Anytime I’ve had an issue, she’s been the person who actually takes the time to help. There have been multiple situations where she’s gone out of her way to make i get what i need, and it definitely stands out. Conner is also very helpful and seems to genuinely know how to do his job well. He’s always willing to answer questions and help when needed. Compared to them, all of the other staff come across as unmotivated and uninterested in helping residents while looking miserable doing their job. These 2 need a raise for sure because they are the only ones who know what they’re doing and willing to help.

Shriya was extremely attentive and made the whole tour experience easy and enjoyable. She was very friendly, easy to talk to, and answered all my questions clearly. I really appreciated how patient and informative she was while showing me around the apartments. Great experience overall
