I’ve lived at Redpoint Tempe for the past 4 years, & while there have been some ups and downs, my overall experience has been great. I am truly sad to be leaving post grad. One thing that consistently impressed me and all my guests is how spacious and relatively updated the units are. The bedrooms, closets, and living spaces are very generous compared to other housing options in the area. You genuinely won’t be able to find anything else like it at the price you pay for rent! My 5 star review truly comes from how great the unit layout is, the amazing staff, and amenities. Definetly one of the best options at this price point next to Tempe. Not to mention, they even have a shuttle (free to use as a resident) that will take you to and from campus at all hours of the day! I never had to pay for an overpriced ASU parking pass (major benefit). The staff are generally helpful and always very kind. If there are issues like bugs or other maintenance concerns, they send someone out veryyyy quickly to rectify the problem. I also have to give a shoutout to Michael, one of the maintenance members —he’s seriously awesome and always goes above and beyond! He’s the best! For the sake of transparency, there are a few issues worth noting. The carpets outside of the bedrooms were never replaced when I moved in, and they show visible wear and stains. It’s a completely different shade compared to the bedroom carpets, which can be embarrassing when hosting guests. Additionally, there’s a serious pigeon problem on the balconies. Even though the staff is responsive and will send someone out to clean it up, the balconies are quickly covered in bird poop and eggs again. Management did do their best to rectify this & this may be due to our neighbors having random items/ trash on the balcony, so I am not putting this one fully on redpoint by any means, but definetly worth keeping in mind. I also experienced issues with the management’s handling of rent payments when I mailed in checks. If the property manager wasn’t available to check their desk, I’d be harassed either by “Remy” (the AI assistant from “down under” lmao. Avoid any help from their AI bot thing when you call or text in, you won’t get anywhere lol.. trust me) or by physical staff members about unpaid rent until they finally found the check. This was stressful and avoidable, & I could only ever get this rectified once my dad would call in and insist it’s there (spoiler: it was always there every single time haha). Last downside I experienced is related to their policy on filling vacant units. Since everyone is on individual leases, the property is truly the one responsible for filling empty rooms, as they will have someone fill a spot without the need to consult anyone else living in the unit. This year, only two of the five rooms in my unit were filled, which caused my electricity bill to skyrocket from $35/month to $150-$200/month since the costs were only split between two people. Despite this being their shortfall, management refused to assist or absorb the added cost, which felt unfair after being such a long-term resident. Thank you redpoint for being my home for the last 4 years! I’d recommend this property to anyone attending ASU looking for something spacious, not a high rise apartment, & at a good price. They won’t disappoint! 🌟

DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE. EVER. Redpoint Tempe is hands down the worst student housing experience I’ve ever had. The customer service is beyond poor — unresponsive, unprofessional, and dismissive unless you threaten legal action. Here’s what happened: I left over $1,000 worth of my personal belongings in the living room of my unit. Me and all three of my roommates continued paying rent for the summer. While my roommates handed in their keys because they moved out for the summer, we were still actively paying rent, and one roommate even planned to return for a weekend visit — because it was still our apartment. Despite this, Redpoint moved other girls into our unit who were also paying rent and claimed this was somehow not “double booking.” I never gave permission for anyone to enter my apartment or touch my belongings. My aunt and uncle drove over 12 hours to retrieve my things so I could use them again when I moved into a different place next school year. When they arrived, the apartment had been fully moved into by new residents, and none of my belongings were there. When I demanded answers, Redpoint claimed my belongings were simply “lost.” That explanation makes no sense. The property has security cameras that would clearly show items leaving the residence, yet instead of reviewing footage or taking responsibility, they blamed the situation on “the cleaners.” No proof, no follow-up, and no accountability. Redpoint admitted they accessed the unit without my consent. Their idea of what was “fair”? Covering my last month of rent — which doesn’t even begin to address missing property, violation of tenant rights, or the stress this caused. They also offered my aunt and uncle a $200 gas gift card, but only after I signed paperwork. I signed it. Months later, when I followed up, they told me they would not be providing it after all. I reached out for months requesting reimbursement for my missing items and was completely ignored until I mentioned legal action. On top of all of that: • The shuttle to campus was unreliable, and when it did run, the AC often didn’t work in the Arizona summer heat. • The pest situation was unacceptable — scorpions were common, and I even found a large cockroach in my closet. This place shows a complete lack of respect for residents, their property, and basic tenant rights. The way this situation was handled was careless, dishonest, and unacceptable. DO. NOT. LIVE. HERE.

Michael and the entire maintenance crew have been a pleasure to work with whenever we run into issues in our household. They always enter the house with a positive and efficient attitude. We are very grateful for the constant commitment to make Redpoint a great place to live!

Living here has been a lesson in managing expectations. Communication from management is frequent, though much of it comes through repeated emails that recycle the same information, which quickly becomes noise rather than helpful updates. There are persistent bug issues throughout the complex that don’t always seem fully resolved. The shuttle service is consistently late, making it unreliable for anyone who needs to be somewhere on time. Amenities are another disappointment. The pool closes unusually early, isn’t heated, and feels more like a photo opportunity than a usable feature. The sauna, which is advertised as an amenity, has been broken and unavailable, further limiting what residents are actually paying for. Security is particularly frustrating. Rather than contributing to a comfortable living environment, guards often act as though they are enforcing laws rather than monitoring a residential community. Interactions can feel unnecessarily confrontational and overly authoritative, creating tension instead of a sense of safety. Residents should also be aware that additional fees seem to be attached to almost everything, which quickly drives up the overall cost beyond what’s advertised. While there are some decent aspects and a few helpful staff members, the overall experience feels restrictive, nickel-and-dimed, and out of balance with the price being paid. I will not be renewing and would highly recommend finding somewhere else to live.

Shutout to Micheal and the rest of the maintenance team for being so amazing and so helpful with any problem we have run into within our unit. They are very quick to resolve our maintenance requests and always meet us with such kindness and positivity. So grateful to have such an outstanding maintenance team!!!
