Central Place Morgantown, morgantown-wv

The rooms are nice and spacious, but they make you pay $3.50 everytime you do laundry. They require you to pay in quarters which is super inconvenient and a pain to deal with. The washer and dryer are super sensitive about dropping your quarters in. You have to go super slow, and even then they might not work. If they take away the paying for laundry and make the washer and dryer not sensitive, this place would be 4-5 stars.

Be aware that Central Place is inadequately staffed. The front office is vacant 99% of the time. Delivered packages are left on a table near the front door without supervision. Theft is a constant possibility. Also, due to lack of supervision, some occupants blast their music day and night. Additionally, dogs left unattended in apartments bark constantly (it's so sad and our hearts break for them). Also, be aware that only one elevator has been operable for nearly a year. When I asked a Metro Property worker why the other elevator had not been repaired, he shrugged. Moving in and out of the building is a nightmare due to this ongoing problem. Also, staffing is inadequate at the main Metro Property office. Calling the office usually results in no action, so be prepared to go in person to the main office. Always get a receipt for every transaction with Metro Property because transactions will be "lost" and you will have to produce your own evidence of rent payments. Twice, my daughter received unjustifiable eviction notices due to a Metro "clerical error." She had to produce evidence of payment through her bank. It was a very distressing experience for her, knowing she had paid yet being threatened with eviction in 48 hours and then 24 hours! Another strange thing is that Metro Property workers will enter your apartment without any notice. On several occasions, my daughter arrived at her apartment and there would be Metro Property Management information on the kitchen island. It gave her (and her parents) a creepy feeling to know someone had been in her apartment without any notice or permission. I'm giving Central Place one star because the location is excellent and because when the security system is working, it gives some peace of mind that it is a safe place to live.

rude management expected to do tours while we were moving out and during finals. lease ended before graduation and they were not helpful. don’t call expecting any help they’re disrespectful and only care about profit. oh and when they say they tow cars without parking passes they lie… if you get home late don’t expect parking even though you pay! too many sketchy people around the place too and they do nothing about it. do not live here

The apartment itself is clean and new for the most part, but dealing with the leasing offices is a NIGHTMARE!!! For any graduating student: they will not tell you anything about staying for an extra few days before graduation. Then they will tell you that it’s your fault for not knowing, when in reality they were not at ALL transparent with their own residents! The employees at the leasing offices are BEYOND unprofessional. They speak to their residents with a condescending tone for absolutely no reason. Do not live here if you want to be treated poorly by the employees. It’s really unfortunate because there wouldn’t be any problems if the employees were actually nice and cared about the lively hood of their residents. I lived there for 3 years and could not believe that attitudes I would get from those at the leasing office. That is unprofessional and those people should be FIRED!

Old our dated furniture thats Wornout. appliances and cabinets dirty. Walls all patched up. Recommend looking elsewhere. Management does not respond back. After you move out they want to charge you for cleaning up and repairing all that, even know it was like that when you moved in.
