This is my college student's first apartment after being in the dorms, and she loves this building! The furnished unit is a bonus!! As a parent, I felt like she was in good hands with Hudson Management. Aurelia, the manager and Jenny are amazing and really care about the well-being of the students. They both went above and beyond to make sure that my student's inhalers were delivered to her unit safely on a weekend. Thank you!

This is definitely one of the better -- maybe even the best -- housing establishments for Cal students. The Met's staff is wonderful and the rooms are more than a student needs. I've been comfortable where I live and have had no problem recommending it to incoming students. I'm noticing a lot of complaints about laundry machine issues -- those have been fixed for over a year. The fire alarm issues are largely fixed. Strongly recommend.

Last year, after having my housing plans messed up, I was on the verge of being homeless. For context, I am a wheelchair user who is also a re-entry student that got readmitted late. I was terrified because the university did not tell me until July that I wasn't guaranteed housing. At this time, housing was limited for the average person and even more so for someone who is disabled. Thankfully, I was contacted by Aurelia who helped me through the entire process and ensured that the room I lived in was accessible via wheelchair. The whole team here were very accommodating and whenever I had an issue, they were always quick to respond and did their best to help asap. They made my transition back to Cal as comfortable and seamless as possible. I'm very grateful for everything they have done for me. As for the apartment itself, I thought it was perfect for me and my housemates. It also helped that the team found housemates for me instead of me scrambling on social media to find strangers to live with me. I wish I used the common spaces more (e.g. the rooftop, lounges, kitchen) but was able to use each space once and was nice for both hanging out and studying. Overall, I loved my time here and would definitely recommend!

The "Met" is far more than a convenient location with an amazing rooftop deck and view, it's the people who support the building that make it special. While the facility provides a safe and comfortable environment for our students, it's truly "Team Met'" that make it home. Inevitably, in any housing, issues arise, whether a dryer that doesn't work, a noisy neighbor, or the dreaded WiFi woes...these happen. What distinguishes good housing from the nightmare is how management responds. When it comes to Team Met', they simply care and help. They are understanding, patient, kind, and responsive and make the Met' the home that it is. Thank you Team Met'; we very much look forward to our third year with you and appreciate all you do.

My son Jared has been living at the Metropolitan since 2018. Like most parents I take care of the details with the leasing office from year to year. The management team led by Aurelia Marchetti are both professional and personable. The building is beautiful, in a great location to Cal Berkeley and safe. Aurelia reaches out yearly to advise of room mate status- guys/girls ratio and checks in. The first week Jared was there the bathroom lock broke and with in an hour it was fixed. He has had no other issues in his apartment and he lives in a quad. His quad has a common space that is perfect for all 4. The kitchen space also great. The views from the roof top amazing with lots of space. He is very happy at the Metropolitan. I am at thankful mom!
