Oxford Hall Property, berkeley-ca

I've lived at Oxford Hall for a few years now, and I've had a great experience! I read some of the other reviews.. I live in one of the studios myself and we definitely don't share one bathroom - we all have our own in our studios, naturally, so I'm not sure why someone wrote that? There are also 6 public bathrooms in the apartment complex which is actually quite a lot.The building is old obviously, but the rent absolutely compensates for that - it's more than reasonable. The manager, Mario, is awesome.. super nice guy.. same with the landlord.

I agree with NS, I’m not sure why these ratings are so harsh. The building may be a bit old, but it’s not run down, there are a fair amount renovations as well as cleaners who visit each week. I rent a studio room without a kitchen or bathroom for a decent price for its size compared to most other places in this area, so it’s very nice. I was even able to set up my own kitchenette where I cook everyday. I don’t wait long for bathrooms or anything, at least one’s always open. The location and thus my second floor view is also very nice, there’s a lot of places nearby that people often visit, like Cal’s campus or restaurants. You can often faintly hear bands, chats, or sports games outside. My only complaints would be minor, like there are sometimes a lot of flies during the summer or that you need to make sure to leave the main door open for deliveries. And the property manager Mario is a great guy, easy to talk to!

Horrible building. Windows throughout the building don't (and won't ever) open and there's no a.c. so you sit in a stuffy room trying to breath. Packages stolen from lobby (presumably) and a check inside one altered ($50 to $5000) and forged. Took over 5 or 6 months to get security deposit back (and only after involving an attorney). Landlord lied saying he never received a rental payment when we have the canceled check. Run for the hills. Faster Forest. Run.

This place is rat infested and poorly managed. I paid rent on time for 2 years and when the time came for me to leave they decided to steel the deposit - to ruin your name over $500.... Shame on Mario Garcia (the property manager) and shame on Nassir Kasani (the owner of Oxford Hall)

These two reviews are false statements..The first one Jen Weltz claims we alter a check from $50 to $5000 which is totally false..as a matter of fact we cut her lease early as she wasn't happy with staying there with no penalties whatsoever..5 month's early..left no information on where to send deposit .and lee did receive her deposit back..Th..
