ABSW Apartments, berkeley-ca

My time at the Delaware (Hudson McDonald Property) was great. The staff are extremely helpful, communicative and accommodating. The maintenance team is amazing and timely. I lived in two different apartments in 4 years at the Delaware and each had their own charm. At the back of the building, off the courtyard there is an amazing view of the Bay. Living on the front side provides a great view of the Berkeley Hills. Great food surrounds the area, short walk to shops, the BART and restaurants. It’s the perfect location to take in all of the East Bay.

My experience living in a Hudson McDonald property has been great. Management has done an excellent job of ensuring that our apartment is well-maintained, and that help is available when needed. Aurelia has been a kind and attentive point-of-contact for our home, and I've very much appreciated the burden the Hudson McDonald team has removed from my co-residents and me by managing the property effectively.

I love living on the Pacific School of Religion campus. It is gorgeous and I would recommend it to anyone. The property manager, Edie, is a huge standout. He is kind and seems to really care about his residents. His emails to us are always funny and informative. I would strongly recommend living here. I am a UC Berkeley engineering student and the location is unbelievably close to all my classes. Often I will leave for class 4 minutes before the start time and still get there early. The views from the roof of the 1815 building are phenomenal (see photo) and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. It's also very close to downtown, and only a 9 minute walk to BART. I also feel like I'm a part of the PSR community. I've made many friends in the building and I'm already sad that I will move out when I graduate. Hudson McDonald management is great too. I haven't had many issues, but most have been resolved same day! (I sent an email about a leaky kitchen sink at 10pm and someone was there with a new faucet at 9am the next morning).

Lived at the 1815 Arch St. residence for 1 semester. They have an easily accessible laundry room, dining hall within walking distance, and well kept courtyard. The team at Hudson Mconald is great. Aurelia was very responsive and attentive to building matters. The housing resident in our complex always kept us updated on important news about our unit in particular. Overall great experience - would definitely rent with them again.

Slumlords. These guys are best known for the Trader Joe's apartment complex in downtown Berkeley. Inside, it's a mess, with breakins, zero security, filthy interiors, thin walls and no remodeling. If you live about Trader Joes, expect construction at all hours, despite the City handing out noise violations. It's really an apartment complex for foreign students who don't know any better. The owner is a total Trump. Beware. The housing office is run by lazy-incompetent fools.
