Located on Mayfield Road, this property is the ultimate tactical headquarters for students who want to dominate their degree while living in a space that actually passes the aesthetic check. We are not talking about a damp room and a flickering light; we are talking about a curated, urban sanctuary that understands your need for an environment that is high-key polished and low-key effortless.
Hampton Square is essentially the ultimate flex for the modern academic weapon. Whether you are a future tech mogul at the University of Southampton or a creative visionary commuting to Solent University, this property serves as your premium retreat. The design philosophy here is aggressively contemporary—think sleek finishes, smart storage solutions that actually hide your mountain of gear, and layouts that feel more like a boutique city apartment than a standard dorm. It is the kind of place that looks even better in person than it does in your perfectly edited reels, providing the ultimate backdrop for your late-night study grinds or those essential pre-night-out fit checks before heading to the city centre.
The true beauty of living here is the strategic energy. You are positioned right at the pulse of the student-dominated Swaythling and Portswood areas, meaning you avoid the trauma of a long commute while staying perfectly placed to hit the hottest independent coffee shops and green spaces. Why settle for a basic, outdated house-share when you can have a boutique experience that merges professional management with the electric energy of Southampton’s student hub? This is for the student who wants to enter their CEO era before they even graduate, merging the coastal charm of the South Coast with a level of luxury that makes every other accommodation look like a total flop. You are positioned exactly where the action is while maintaining a secure, peaceful environment to retreat to when the social battery hits zero. It is time to trade the mid for the magnificent and start living the life you actually signed up for—where the vibes are perpetually immaculate and your home base is the envy of the entire lecture hall.
Life at Hampton Square
Daily life at Hampton Square Student Accommodation is essentially like having a permanent VIP pass to a lifestyle club where you also happen to study. While the rest of the city is stressing over rising energy prices and splitting bills with unreliable housemates, you will be living the dream because every single utility—water, electricity, heating, and that essential super-fast Wi-Fi—is wrapped into one neat, all-inclusive payment. No more group chat drama over who left the lights on; just pure, unadulterated comfort.
Socially, the energy is unmatched. We are talking about extensive communal facilities, including an amphitheatre-style outdoor courtyard that is perfect for summer picnics or sunset hangouts. The on-site cinema room and games area serve as the heart of the building, where you can organize movie marathons or dominate your crew at pool. For those deep-focus moments, the dedicated quiet study areas provide the perfect academic weapon environment to secure that first-class degree. When you need a break from the books, the communal spaces are the ultimate spot for social hangouts and finding your crew between deadlines.
Safety is handled with the kind of main character protection you deserve. You cannot focus on your hustle if you are worried about your surroundings, which is why Hampton Square features 24-hour on-site support, secure electronic fob entry, and CCTV surveillance that misses absolutely nothing. Maintenance drama? Non-existent. The on-site team is legendary for their responsiveness—if something isn't 10/10, they are on it before you can even finish your morning scroll. This is a property that does not just house you; it supports your entire hustle, ensuring you have the foundation to win at university life without the usual housing trauma. It is the peak of stress-free, high-end living for the modern student who knows that a polished environment is the secret to their success.

Unbelievable.I Would say the maintenance job is incredibly fast and effectively done by Matt.He comes with repaired stuffs every time and being polite. And almost every kind of maintenance problems can be solved. As for the receptionist which is another fantastic thing. That is Amy,Louis and Chloe are warmhearted and understanding and willing to help. The world becomes better because of them. And Chloe is from Hong kong who can speak Chinese which is helpful for some Chinese students when they first arrived here.Rooms are very nice and sound insulation effect is tremendously good. And It’s very warm that when you come in from outside cold wind and rain. We always talk about room facilities and public welfare environment, but service and logistics are often the most important.

Exterior and First Impressions: The exterior of Hampton Square is well maintained and provides a modern, welcoming aesthetic that fits perfectly with its boutiques student living branding. The building feels contemporary and clean, featuring an impressive aphitheatre-style courtyard that serves as a great social hub. Its location on Mayfield Road is ideal, offereing a quiet residential vibe while remaining just a short walk from the University of Southampton Highfield Campus. The kitchens are decently large and spacious, allowing multiple flatmates to cook at once. THe kitchen comes fully equipped with all the necessary appliances including Ovens, hobs, microwave, and fridge. While the layout is functional;, there is definitely room for improvement regarding storage spaces. For a flat sharing with several students, the cupboard and pantry space feels a bit tight, requiring some creative organization to fit everyone's groceries and cookware. Beyond the kitchen, the building offers high tier amenities like an on-site gym, a games room with Arcade games, fussball table, pool table. A cinema room and dedicated study spaces. The Internet connectivity at Hampton Square is very good. The high-speed broadband is reliable and consistent throughout the building, which is crucial for acdemic work and streaming.

The accommodation was very nice, and I had a wonderful experience. The place is fully equipped with facilities such as a gym, laundry room, air-conditioned study rooms, outdoor seating areas, and a calm atmosphere. To be honest, I’d say about 98% of the residents I saw were of Chinese nationality. The downside I faced was the kitchen — it was often dirty and had a bad smell because some neighbors didn’t care about cleanliness or organization. If you’re planning to stay there, I recommend paying attention to that issue.

I am very disappointed in my stay here, the only thing that I've found nice is Lou at reception, the others seem like they can't be bothered to help with queries, they say to report everything. 1 security (short, without the beard) is so rude and complaints to management does not change this. He doesn't take noise complaints seriously (late times on weekends) and suggests that its okay for people to trash their own kitchen with empty drink bottles overnight for the morning because 'everyone drinks'. He is extremely rude when it came to misplaced keys, saying to multiple people that its not his problem, while he is working at a student accommodation.....Why have someone work customer service if they don't seem to value the costumer? And if you lose your keys (which is a FOB, NOT a physical key) anytime that reception isn't present (after 5 on weekdays, or the entire weekend), good luck getting a new one, you have to wait. Meaning, the whole weekend you're on your own. People lose their keys, it happens, I don't understand why programming a fob cannot be taught to competent security guards. They also speak about being green, while in the kitchen they only provide you with 1 bin, I struggle to see how this is a green initiative. They also only have 2 hoovers for the whole property to share, and they genuinely smell like they haven't ever been cleaned, and in my opinion do not work. You are better off getting your own. There is silverfish in every block I've been to, in the hallways, in the kitchen, and even in people's rooms. the property manager promises they will get pest control to come to people, yet everyone I know who has asked has never gotten a follow up on this promise. It's either the lousy traps that do not work or a lavender air freshener they put in the hallway. third party at Hampton: Maintenance can only do so much but they are nice people. The WiFi (Ask4) cuts out every now and then, and Circuit laundry is still expensive. There is always external contractors doing work such as water but they give you enough notice to work around. In my opinion there is some things that are inexcusable that all can be easily fixed. I personally don't think management cares enough because these things shouldn't have even been a problem in the first place. Hire better staff, give them the same training as main receptionists, properly inspect your property for silverfish, provide more than 1 bin seriously, and the more advanced things would be getting your own washer dryer system so you aren't punishing your residents with a 7 Pound full cycle charge. I hope they take this seriously because it is such simple things that should be provided, especially when the lowest rent for a room is 10.7k. Wessex Lane up the road is much cheaper, much older, yet did not have any problems when it came to what was previously mentioned.
