I stayed here for a year during my Masters. The place is a single building with four floors but no lifts. There are two floors of common areas and a reception staffed 24*7. Rooms have modern furniture but feel crammed up. Bathrooms always had issues like mould and toilets not functioning, mainly due to old fittings. The kitchen also had similar issues and required constant maintenance. On the positive side, the place is budget-friendly and is closer to the Uni, centre and bus stops, which makes it an ideal location to live.

Awfully understaffed, no great measures to ensure the safety of students. Terrible ventilation throughout the building and the shower rooms have no vent or air duct system thus creating multiple health issues and structural issues. No free parking for students already paying a ridiculous fee in rent - you must buy a parking permit for the underground car park. No lift service so if youre on the top floor good luck with those stairs. Damp flooring at ground floor one end which has just had a new carpet replacement each time rather than fixing the leak. If I could rate 0 stars - I would!

Good staff and good accommodation. The shower need to be improve a bit as it's quite small and there were lack of ventilation. However, room were lovely and accurate size just enough for student need.

NOT DISABILITY FRIENDLY, SMELLS LIKE SEWAGE AND TAKE NO ACCOUNTABILITY. Placed here as emergency accommodation between tenancies. 3 stars for the fact its an OK sized room, a roof over my head and somewhere to wash my clothes. Shower is grimy and kitchen appeared clean until i looked in the microwave, which is gross. Rooms are very stuffy due to not being able to open windows past 3 inches. No disabled access or lifts so be wary fellow disabled friends, this place isnt friendly for you. Basin in bedroom is leaky and bed is not comfortable. You get what you pay for, and it'd be okay for a first place at uni but i personally wouldn't stay here if it wasnt for it being where i was allocated. Edit: Ive noticed all of the negative reviews have replies stating they 'cannot find the reviewer on the system'. I've changed my review to 1 star after the whole stay, as the stairwells smell like sewage and throughout the stay there has been little to no staffing of reception to make any complaints.

- Lobby/common area is ridiculously cold because of the building structure (it's not an exclosed space). It's a waste of space and could have been used/built better for tenants to occupy. - The garbage chutes are ridiculously small. How does one stuff a big bag of trash into a tiny box? - WiFi is - get ready for it - utterly ridiculous. Cuts off frequently and runs below 10Mbps (that's a generous round-up). - The cleaner either doesn't know how to do her job, or doesn't want to to her job. Dishes in the drying rack = kitchen can't be cleaned, speck of dust on the floor = kitchen can't be cleaned, etc. Our kitchen floor has never been vacuumed and mopped by her, we do it ourselves. She also neglects the toilets. What are we paying for? My flatmates and I have complained to no avail. We wonder if management cares that she's doing a terrible job. + Maintenance is quick. + Location is superb.

Common questions
All our show flats, and the images on our website, are representative of a particular room type unless labelled otherwise – however they are not identical. Your room will have all the same features and fittings, just in a slightly different set up. If you are unhappy with your room, please speak to the reception team as there is often something we can do. Where there are other rooms available we will offer these as an alternative. To move room you will need to complete new tenancy paperwork, and there may be a small charge to cover the cost of making your original room ready for a new tenant.
