Seminole Flatts, tallahassee-fl

I’ve been living here since November 2023, and it has been a wonderful place to call home. The environment is calm and quiet, the pool is consistently clean, and the property is very well cared for. The team - Mekulu, Dills, Alex, Ashley, and Linda - is outstanding and always goes above and beyond.

I just finished my tour at Seminole Flatts and I am beyond impressed. Alayah is truly one of the best team members there. She was incredibly sweet, professional, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. She answered every question I had with patience and made sure I understood everything about the property. Her positive attitude and excellent customer service made the entire experience enjoyable and stress free. If you’re looking for a place with great staff and a warm atmosphere, I highly recommend asking for Alayah!

Before they respond… may name is not Sabrina please stop assuming. Second, the character in response says a lot about this business. Terribly run apartment complex. The units are outdated, the appliances frequently break down, and most of the staff were unprofessional and rude. There was vomit on the stairwell that was left to rot in the summer heat for months. The pool was green on and off throughout the summer, and the air conditioning frequently malfunctioned. When a strange odor developed in my apartment, management initially tried to blame my pets. I repeatedly insisted it was an electrical issue, but they threatened to charge me for an electrician if no problem was found. Unsurprisingly, there was an electrical issue. Several maintenance requests were never completed despite being submitted multiple times. The front desk employee repeatedly deleted the requests and was dismissive whenever I called to follow up. The move-out process was equally frustrating. They charged me for nearly everything possible. They claimed there was a stain in a room that had never been used and had been thoroughly cleaned. They also stated the bathrooms were not cleaned and used a photo of a single hair on the toilet as “proof” which wasn’t even mine. I was also never able to contact the manager. I called several times requesting to speak to her and the staff refused to put me through. They gave me her email to which she never responded to. Additionally, I had submitted a maintenance request months before move-out for a repair that management assured me would be handled at no cost to me. When I moved out, they claimed they had never received the request, deleted any record of it, and charged me for the repair. The location is convenient and close to campus, but that is about the only positive thing I can say about this property. Based on my experience, I would not recommend living here.

I lived in this place for 3 years from 2021-2024. Whatever you do, DO NOT live here. •They bribe tenants for 5 star reviews and force the office staff to write 5 star reviews •Have to inspect entire unit in 24 hours when you move in, images can’t be above a certain size, and you can only upload like 50 mb of images. So there’s no way you can document all the pre existing damage •My Apartment floors were messed up and water damaged before I moved in •Cigarette ash on apartment floor when I moved in •Paint is so cheap it literally wipes off the wall with a Lysol wipe •They have free coffee which is nice, but several times I found mold in coffee creamer •After two years of living here, they finally replaced my floor and they did not coordinate with me at ALL. Management showed up at my door at like 8am expecting ALL my furniture be moved into my bedroom so they could replace the floor in the living room and kitchen. The management actually got mad at ME for not reading their minds and knowing to do that •Bike tires were stolen, 0 care from the management. They don’t have any bike racks so you either have to lock your bike under the stairs outside or bring it inside •They will never hire a second maintenance guy even though they always claim they are trying to (hint: it’s because they offer terrible wages for the maintenance people) •One time they hired a second maintenance guy for about a month. He came to fix the mounting screw for my dishwasher, stripped the holes, and made the spring fall out of my dishwasher and then didn’t put it back but said “other people always do the job wrong and he has to fix their work” •Not sure who the manager is nowadays but the last two I dealt with blatantly lied to me on multiple occasions •They get mad at you if you request to be present for your maintenance requests. This was not a problem the first 2 years I lived there •The circulation fan in the 1x1s DOES NOT WORK. It will take hours for the temp between your bedroom and living room to equalize. The A/C just sucks in the 1x1s •They put stickers and write on every package. This makes Amazon returns a pain in the butt •They charge a huge fee on electronic rent/utility payments •0 care for maintenance or upkeep of apartments. They painted over glow in the dark stars, screws, holes in the wall, etc. •Power outages all the time •Internet is terrible and on a public network. It used to be a private network for every apartment but now it’s one unsecured public network. Anyone could steal your login data •I was told several times that Seminole Flatts “doesn’t do noise complaints” then they gave me one with no explanation. When I came into the office trying to find out what the noises were, they gave me no explanation •raccoons at night all over the property •I had homeless people knock on my window after midnight MULTIPLE times while living here •0 maintenance of any of the gym equipment •The PTAC A/C units in the 1x1s don’t get ANY maintenance at all, which is why they suck so much. PTAC’s own website recommends like 10 different monthly/seasonal maintenance requirements and Seminole Flatts does NONE of them •Multiple times, after the power went out, the A/C in the fitness room was turned off and it would be over 80 degrees in there. None of the employees knew where the key was to fix it. Sometimes it was like this for WEEKS because they didn’t care about people possibly dying from heat stroke while working out •One girl working at Seminole Flatts literally had not one but TWO mushrooms GROW out of her wall. Seminole Flatts didn’t offer her a replacement unit or anything. They just took the mushrooms out of the walls and painted over them •The staff are trained to never say mold is mold so they are not legally liable if you get sick •One time all the staff took the showcase apartment and had a party in there, lots of underage drinking •They didn’t renew my lease and never gave me a reason why they didn’t renew it This is all I can fit in my review, I have a lot more but I hit the character limit.

I loved my time living at Seminole Flatts! The office and maintenance staff are wonderful and were always so helpful. The pricing is great and it’s so close to FSU’s campus which was super convenient. I would recommend to anyone!!
