Apartment AC broke to the point it was 85 degrees and had to contact them multiple times only for them to come and say they would “fix” it temporarily. It broke again almost instantly and then when I called the management company I got a rude answer from them and mixed messages on when it would be fixed only for them to offer a window unit that is late based on the timeline they gave

Horrible management and experience. On Monday the AC broke & it was 90 degrees in the apartment. We called the management company, got no answer and then I called the landlord who had the worst attitude ever. After running around making phone calls they finally sent someone to fix the AC unit THREE DAYS LATER. For 3 days my suite mates and I didn’t sleep because it was hotter in the apartment than it was outside. Mind you, it’s Raleigh and it’s June! Some of us left for the weekend and came back Sunday and it was broken again! And this time I called Greg Sakas, our landlord and his attitude was despicable. He said don’t call him late and we should have been mindful about the temperature, as if that’s even possible????? And he hung up on us & said to call maintenance in the morning. I’m sure Greg was sleeping in AC and having no issues in his house. No one cares about our health and safety and he definitely didn’t. We then went up to the housing office and the woman said not only has that AC unit been there since 2001, so TWENTY FIVE YEARS and no one has thought to update it, but she then stated that the owner is trying to figure out if he wants to pay the $1500 to fix the entire unit. As an owner, if you don’t have 1500 dollars to fix things then you shouldn’t be owning. And it’s despicable that you won’t even pay the money for your tenants to be safe. Absolutely disgusting. Do not live here!

I rented a townhouse through Preiss in the Waterfront District in Clayton and had a good overall experience. The location was great, the move-in process was smooth, and maintenance was handled in a reasonable timeframe. Communication was generally clear throughout my time there. Overall, a solid option for renting in the Clayton area.

I had the pleasure of working with Kasey and her team. The Complex I visited was very clean and staff was very pleasent to be around. This company and their employees were very friendly to work with, they treat you like family, and take their time to address all your questions. We were all able to collaborate with ease and bounce ideas off one another. I look forward to working with their team again.

I just want to thank Lauren and the team for being so amazing! Maintenance came out right away to put a cover on a water pipe, and it was taken care of so quickly. It makes such a huge difference compared to my old place at the Retreat of Lake Johnson. It’s such a relief living somewhere where everything is addressed so quickly and efficiently. I really appreciate the great service and attention to detail—thank you!
