Mountain View Heights, harrisonburg-va

Lived here for 3 years with minimal fuss as it was a quiet and remote little spot. This all changed when property management allowed a fraternity to move into one of the buildings and even gave them space to throw large parties in the storage area below the building leading to it becoming loud, uncontrolled, and a trash dump for beer cans. Unbelievable.

This property is a constant source of disruption and concern. Trash is frequently left out overflowing , loud parties with excessive drinking happen regularly, and there are ongoing suspicious activities. Police presence is a near-daily occurrence. It has become a public nuisance and a serious disturbance to the surrounding area.

I have lived in several complexes throughout my time as a student at James Madison University, and none compare to the gem of Mountain View Heights. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and the proximity to campus (5 min walk to Godwin Hall) is incredibly useful for those without cars. Considering the price of rent for other 4 bed/4 bathroom apartments in town, $430/room is a lifesaver for my budget! The folks at Matchbox Realty are super helpful and typically respond to maintenance requests in less than 2 days. It'll be my second year living at MVH, but I can't imagine spending my senior year anywhere else!!

I loved living in Mountain View. Great location, super close to 2 shopping centers and JMU but at the same time it’s in a residential area where I could go on runs and walk my dog peacefully. Management was always super friendly and helpful. And the price was really good for such a clean place, that is newly remodeled. I seriously never had any issues when I lived there. Best rental experience I had in Harrisonburg. I totally recommend.

I have lived here for a year now and I have had no problems with management and maintenance is always coming when I file a complaint. The apartments are so spacious and everyone who sees them comments on the size. Truly a hidden gem! Staff of matchbox is always extremely helpful as well
