I would be cautious before renting here. Yes, it's livable, but the main manager is rude and there's a lack of conscientious on how the higher ups treat you. The rest of the office staff is really sweet, but they usually can't help much. I had to beg (and was denied) picking up my keys early because of a FUNERAL I had to attend at the beginning of the year. The manager finally gave me the keys only 2 HOURS early on move in day with a smirk commenting, "Since we're doing this, you're gonna give us a great review." No ma'am -- I am not. No condolences for my losses, nothing. The apartment itself is not terrible. Maintenance is timely, but when we notified them of water damage in the ceiling, they simply painted over it rather than fixing the real problem. Not to mention my room was covered in dust and had mold in the shower and sink when I moved in. I always deep clean and you will not believe what came out of the drain... The office is open at odd hours if you work a typical 9-5, makes it hard to get packages. Be wary of parking because they will boot your car, not only when you park in the wrong spot, but even if your registration has lapsed. Convenient location if you're a UF student. I've lived in many different places - LA, Nashville, Washington DC, and more. Overall, this is the worst management I've had to deal with and my least favorite apartment. It works if you're in a pinch, but I would tour other places before you make a decision.

The parking situation is actually ridiculous. You’ll get a boot if you park in unlabeled spots. I got one when I first moved here but now I got another one because the permit that they gave me expired after a year… I didn’t realize that and they didn’t give me one when I renewed. They didn’t send me an email. I think it’s ridiculous to get booted in a non-labeled spot to begin with by I literally have a sticker and still got booted. Their communication is lacking and the parking is always sparse anyway. Even if parking wasn’t the only issue you also have maintenance problems, dryers and ovens being outdated and stopping working. AC acting up. And oh if you work remote or need to study? The internet only works 3 weeks out of each month. Do not move here.

Overall it's been a very pleasant experience here for the past several years. The staff for one are the absolute best, Carla among others is always very friendly and helpful, always handling what few problems I've had in a timely and caring manner. The apartments themselves are spacious and give the feeling of living in a home, while the amenities check every box for convenience and fun. 5/5

Hideaway has nice management staff like Donavan and Makayla, and all their staff have been friendly and polite to me when I come to the office for package pickup or when I call with a question. Their maintenence people are also very helpful and nice. Hideaway staff give us frequent free fun events too. Hideaway feels like a safe place to live, and they have a beautiful waterfall swimming pool, a nice gym, basket ball courts, and study rooms, with free printer use! My neighbors of various ages and a variety of study majors here, are friendly to me, and there are good vibes all around here. I was offered no incentives for my review, yet give it freely because there is so much to like about being here! Thanks Hideaway! :-)

DO NOT MOVE HERE The parking situation here is honestly ridiculous. You can get booted for parking in spots that aren’t even labeled. I got booted once when I first moved in LIKE 30 MIN INTO PARKING & MOVING IN IT WAS 3AM and now it happened again because the parking permit they gave me apparently expired after a year. I had no idea, and when I renewed my lease they didn’t give me a new one or send any kind of email about it. The wild part is I literally have a resident sticker and still got booted. Communication from management is basically nonexistent, and parking is already super limited anyway. And parking isn’t even the only issue. There are constant maintenance problems, and the dryers and ovens are outdated and randomly stop working. If you work remote or need internet for school, good luck with that too. The internet only seems to work about three weeks out of the month.
