Everything about this place is a scam. I left my apartment with my personal belongings in it over the summer since I pay a 12 month lease and renewed the same space. I returned to my apartment after summer on August 16th and my apartment was a construction sight with everything I own touched and shoved into closets. Kat Twig was 0 help when we asked her why it’s not livable as my lease states I pay for it starting August 1st. She made snarky faces at me and called me rude for asking questions about construction and when we can move in. I am betting appalled. do not live here please.

If I could give this apartment complex a 0 star, I would. They made us pay for a full month on August 1 for move-in, but my daughter couldn’t move in until August 18 and it wasn’t pro-rated. The doors are always propped open or left unlocked & a homeless man hiding under a tarp cornered her in the laundry area & threatened her safety; then her roommate lost her key fob to get into the apartment and went to pay for a new fob to be told the machine that makes them is broken, so they had to leave the apartment unsecured for months while the apartment complex did nothing for them. The whole complex smells like weed (even though it is non-smoking), they haven’t cleaned the halls since before move-in (there has been a hotdog on the hallway floor since the move in week in August, trash all over the floors, dried vomit at the end of the hall, loud music blaring at all hours from other residents…still need more issues? The hot water boiler went out right before Christmas break & the apartment complex didn’t fix it for over 2 weeks because the majority of the residents went home for the holiday-but, my daughter had to stay there because she works-without any hot water! The “mandatory $90 amenity fee” that she has to pay to cover the pool, BBQ’s, volleyball courts, gym, clubhouse are all at the other complex over 1/4 a mile away & when she did go to swim in August 19 the day after move in-it wasn’t filled-so she’s paying for things that aren’t even available to her, the mailboxes don’t lock easily at all & are left open a lot because the locks don’t turn & packages keep getting stolen! The maintenance people come in without advance notice regularly, they’ll walk in while they’re sleeping, or without even knocking…which seems really safe for a 19 yr old female in the room alone with a grown male entering?!?Did I mention the sinkhole in the parking lot that has been there for weeks & just getting larger? The paint in the bathtub (literally on the tub bottom) is peeling off, it doesn’t have a stopper (didn’t have one at move-in & they haven’t repaired it), the cabinet was missing shelves at move-in (still haven’t brought the shelf)…such a trash complex & terrible management that doesn’t even respond to calls or emails! Let’s add to the experience she has had; we met with the office manager, Alec, regarding these issues & he was so pleasant (insert sarcasm) that he was nice enough to revictimize my daughter on the assault in the building that he said “she never came in & he didn’t hear about it”…she pulled up her email regarding the incident with his response to her to show him it & he still said he didn’t remember it. I called the higher manager who listened and asked what she wanted & all my daughter wanted was to get released from her lease as she didn’t feel safe-only 3 months left of her lease & we were told no & that there was NOTHING they would do for her. Fast forward less than 2 weeks later, my daughter gets an email from the office at 10:30p on a Friday (leasing office is closed on the weekend) stating that she was going to be moved to a whole different complex (close to a mile away) along with other her roommate because of codes that the complex wasn’t adhering to & they had to be moved out in 5 days! My daughter was home at the time for the week & had to go back early & panic pack her apartment up as she had to work Monday-Wed & when she went to the clubhouse on Monday to get the new key-she was told she’d be living with a random person they’d never met! She called me & I again spoke to the office & let them know under no circumstances was she moving there & they were in violation of the lease that was signed. Castira said she’d attempt to find something for them. They knew way in advance about the issues, and could’ve done more-but just treat the college kids like trash & like they don’t know what they’re doing. They’re taking advantage of the college kids & charging for things they don’t provide! If you are smart, you wouldn’t sign a lease here! $903 a month for a trash apartment & terrible customer service.

Every waking moment I had to communicate with the staff that ran this building was a nightmare. Kicked my roommate and I out going into the fall semester citing "failure to renew" when we very clearly did. Entered our living room and tore out a wall, leaving insulation and drywall on everything without cleaning up after themselves. Avoid at all costs.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely horrible apartment. “Newly renovated” is just a scheme to make people want to sign here. Don’t do it. The long list of problems with this place goes on and on. We were without hot water for weeks. Water was coming out brown. The washing machines are filthy and have caught on fire twice. Emergency maintenance does not pick up. Have called 911 here more times than I ever have in my life. Bats fly around the halls. The dish washer hits the fridge when open and the pantry door hits the countertop. Couch is too long for the living room and cuts off the walk way. The floors and walls are so thin you will constantly hear people walking and screaming. The management is manipulative and rude. They have no regard for resident safety and have failed to answer urgent emails and calls. The AC unit is just a glorified window unit, heating is not controlled and often gets so hot it smells like burnt metal. Parking spots are not guaranteed even though we pay $50 a month for parking. No elevator. The front doors that were supposed to stay locked 24/7 are consistently broken and have not worked all year. Bedroom doors don’t lock which causes a concern for safety. Never got a key to my mailbox!!! I asked for one multiple times and was told “we’re working on it.” We were offered a $100 gift card upon signing, never received it and i’ve now fully moved out. No enforcement of drug policy stated in the lease, smells like weed all the time. Has failed to respond to police and fire department when an apartment wide alarm went off in the middle of the night. Genuinely disgusting and not worth the price. Bedrooms are not the same size and unfairly proportioned. Do not sign here, this place has already received various tickets from the city. They don’t care about your well being. They bought this place, saw how crappy it was, slapped on some new paint and barn doors then called it a day. It’s falling apart and a huge safety concern living here. They’re robbing students with the cost. All good reviews are from the staff members. DO NOT SIGN HERE!!!

The WORST place in East Lansing. Do your homework before committing here, or you will REGRET it. We just moved in a week late, and the place is not even painted. It is extremely dirty & half of the amenities don’t work. TOTAL GARBAGE! I will share pictures soon. Shame on the person running this place he doesn't care! Same goes for the manager also. Such a Disgrace !!! I will follow up with pictures.
