The apartments have thick walls and the units are spacious. The units need new windows as they don’t close unless maintenance comes and closes it with a crowbar. When it comes to the maintenance don’t expect them to quickly fix anything. I have waited to have my hot water fixed nearly 3 weeks. Also had requested to have my heat looked at which still doesn’t work correctly either. They will close your requests without actually making sure the issue is fixed. Update: The hot water was fixed but only worked for a few weeks. Just was told it could be a few days to have maintenance come by. Also have had a request in for nearly 6 weeks to have the windows looked at and that has not been looked into at all. Maintenance is very unreliable.

Don't expect them (DTN) to fix anything ever. Our microwave broke 2 months ago and we have put in multiple maintenance requests, called and went to the office in person in which every time they said they would fix it within the week and we end up never hearing back. It's honestly unacceptable to leave college students without a microwave for 2 months. We have been very patient but this is not the only problem they have ignored and we have always had issues with maintenance taking inexplainably long to come fix things. Do better! Update: things got fixed by it it took months and a Google review :/

The apartments are a good size and it's nice to have in-unit washer and dryer. The leasing office staff have all been really kind and helpful. The new maintenance crew lead by Thomas McCormick are great. They responded quickly and were very helpful.

Apartment was decent for the price but I put multiple maintenance requests in for a window screen that fell out of the window frame and they never came and fixed it, got a call a month after I moved charging me $120 to fix it. Maintenance was very hit or miss and dealing with the company is like dealing with the IRS or any large government organization.

The only two things I do not like about this complex is the location and the management office hours. The complex is under the same management as Capitol Villa, and the main office is in Capitol Villa. With there being a concrete wall and a fence dividing the properties, it makes for a bit of a journey to get over to management, and all of the other amenities (Including the pool, the lounge, and the fitness room). In the summer, this is not as big of a deal. But when there is a -30F wind chill, and I need my new coat that I ordered to stay warm (which has been dropped off at the management office, which always happens), this 10 minute walk can be annoying. A staircase through the wall/fence would change this drastically, and make it more desirable to live here. With the office hours, I find myself, as do many other students at MSU or other schools, find myself being on campus until after 6:00 or later. Generally, if there are still people in the office, this is no problem. But it creates an issue when I have a package to pick up, and it most likely has gone to the management office, and I can't go pick it up. A couple things that I like about this complex: It is fairly nice. With the exception of the water heat and heating system being linked, the apartments are very nice and cozy, and I feel at home when in the apartment. The location in respect to MSU. As a student in Lyman Briggs, I have multiple classes that are in Holmes, which makes the proximity to campus more than ideal. The management is great. The management is overall very kind, and care about our experience as tenants. Always willing to check in on things, making sure we know about neighborhood events, and quick maintenance request completions. Overall, this is a nice complex to live in.
