Live here if you love trash and litter. Trash constantly blows into the street and litter goes everywhere. Talked with an employee, they said they don’t have a porter currently so there are trash issues. Obviously, they won’t decrease your rent to compensate you. Trash chutes have also been open for at most 1 week the entire school year. I don’t mind taking my trash to the dumpster myself, but if it’s going to overflow 24/7, then maybe they should unclog them. Very glad I am not living here again next year.

The WORST apartment building in every way imaginable. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! As someone approaching my 7th month living here, I can tell you it is NOT WORTH IT! The tour we received was extremely deceitful and here’s a few reasons why: 1) Parking - the parking garage at SkyVue is worse than finding parking on campus for class. There is zero guest parking, and they WILL tow you if you attempt to overnight at the leasing office spots. Snow and ice is drafted onto every floor, making going up and down a slippery nightmare. Every turn is a dangerous blind corner. The gate at the bottom is very narrow, and it’s been broken for well over half my time living here (meaning anyone has access to your vehicles). The top floor, where I park, has never been effectively plowed or salted. There was a point where I had to put my car in 4wd for a week straight, just to pull out of my spot. 2) Trash - do not let the “trash chutes on every floor” deceive you. Within the first month, all 9 floors had trash pouring out of the chute room. It has stayed that way my entire lease term. The pile is so large that it towers over the doors and spreads throughout the parking garage. Hallways nearby reek like month old garbage. Nothing like stepping on someone’s leaking trash bag on the way to your car! 3) Living Space - when I moved in, our sectional couch was so worn down that there was hundreds of pieces of synthetic leather all over the floor. My roommate and I sweep every other day, and somehow it’s shedding just as much as it did the first week here. We submitted a maintenance request the first week we lived here, and have submitted 3 since then. I’ve been told by multiple maintenance workers that “nearly every apartment has asked for new cushions” and “they are so back ordered I can’t even give you an ETA”. You’d think if this was such a widespread issue, they would order some more, but I guess that’s too much work! 4) Amenities - this place is an absolute maze. It’s shaped like a figure 8, meaning walking anywhere takes forever (and there’s no signs anywhere to help guide you). The grand “48 person hot tub” that they flaunt like a 5-star hotel experience was broken within a few weeks of winter. It doesn’t get above probably 95’, meaning it feels more like a warm bath. The gym is okay, it’s about the size of the lobby you start your tour in and they don’t keep it functional year round. I was pretty excited about the Peloton, only to realize that the seat was broken and stuck at the shortest setting the first week I lived there! TL;DR: RUN, don’t walk away. For $50-$100 more per month, you can live in some of the nicest apartment buildings in the city. Signing here was the biggest financial mistake I have ever made and I make it big point to make sure nobody younger than me makes that same mistake. The staff are lovely, but that’s quite literally the only positive thing I can say about the nightmare that is SkyVue.

Absolute scam. Unbeknownst to any of the residents, Skyvue’s electricity meter was not working for the better part of a year. Instead of alerting the residents, skyvue decided to charge tenants electric bills that were a rough average of buildings in the area. If that doesn’t already seem shady, months later they finally told the residents. Now, residents will have to “true up” and pay the difference in the average to their actual usage. Yes, they are charging 100s of college kids thousands of dollars in electric fees on virtually zero notice, due to their own incompetence. A good building would have alerted residents right away. An even better building would eat the costs recognizing that this was their own embarrassing mistake, or was it not a mistake at all? SkyVue should be ashamed, but they aren’t, they’ll keep raising rates and providing a dirtier, broken down, and smelly building year after year. Pay attention to the “deals” they offer for people to sing a lease. Free months rent, free parking, gift cards, etc. They can’t fill up the building and it’s for a reason. As a two year resident, take my advice, and run the other way.

DO NOT LIVE HERE! I know they will respond to my comment sounding all nice but if I wasn’t bound to a lease I would move out today. The building is disgusting. There is vomit in all the halls. Anything in the parking garage will be damaged or stolen. Countless bikes have been stolen through chain cutting and the building will offer no increase in safety precautions. The staff is unhelpful and rude. Nothing will be fixed and nothing will get done. I’ve seen mice in the building and all the painting and updates won’t solve the problems they have. I feel unsafe whenever i am in the building and i would recommend living here to no one no matter how many discounts they offer. They offers these because no one wants to live here and that is for good reason

Would not recommend Filthy: - Trash chutes were overflowing for months - Hallways smell of trash - Due to this, the rodent problem has been getting really out of hand. Have seen them multiple times in the hallways of the 5th floor, running around the garage, and I recently had to wait 4 days for a dead one outside of my door to get cleaned up. 4 days after reporting to staff! I have complained for two years now that none of the exterior doors (including 5th floor garage entrance door) have proper seals on them, leaving massive gaps where these rodents easily get in. In a big building, mice can be expected occasionally, but SkyVue rolls out the red carpet. Really becoming a health concern Loud: You will hear everything from the tenants above you. Everything. The walls and ceilings/floors are paper thin. I live with a view of the hot tub, and I can literally hear the conversations people are having while on the 5th floor. They also promote hot tub parties with DJs which I’m sure are fun, but our unit literally shakes from the music all night. Garage: It’s definitely tight, but just drive slow and you should be alright. Gym: Small, but gets the job done. No complaints there. Staff: Have had mostly positive interactions. Maintenance guys are great, just think they are given a tall task with such a big building and not enough of them. Front desk people seem like they are trying their best, I understand there’s not much they can do without management support especially for those larger issues. The loudness is just something that’s gonna persist, the building is cheaply built so it is what it is. As for the dirtiness/rodents, fix the seals on the doors, clean the trash, and get a good exterminator in. Literally would help so much. Edit: if you are dead set on living here, I highly highly recommend requesting a unit on the top floor, and facing the street, and get it in writing on the lease you sign. This would mitigate noise issues. Lastly, the rent is steep for a building that is known throughout the city as being dirty and far from campus
