The complex is extremely dark at night. A light fixture on the stairwell outside of my daughter’s apartment has been out since she and her roommates moved in. It is so dark you can’t see to walk up the stairs and for a parent this has me concerned for their safety at night. I called the complex and they said they would get around to it in a few months. When I brought up it was a safety issue they did not care. I will now have to haul a ladder five hours to replace a light fixture that is outside of the building so that my daughter and her roommates can see to walk up the stairs and also so they can see at night to make sure no one is standing there waiting on them. This is absolutely ridiculous…. Do better for your residents. The lighting across the entire complex is so dark, it creates a very dangerous environment and the fact you can’t change one light fixture that’s on the outside of your unit for safety of the girls is maddening. It was already out when they moved in… do your job!

One star is a stretch. Accommodations and location are fine. Safety is questionable. Cost is exorbitant. Based on our experience, management has been unreachable by phone since December. The portal has certainly been used, but we desperately needed to speak with a human about a situation in Dec, and we were never able to. (It is now March). Management has proven truly difficult to reach by phone despite leaving multiple messages. Their unreliability was very costly on our end. It is highly recommended anyone who wants to live here have a lawyer carefully read the lease before signing. They are very well-protected and the tenant is not.

Would not recommend living here. All they seem to care about is $$$. Rent increase by $80. They “claim Market Analysis “. I have 2 other college students at other complexes with NO increase. CV is very slow w/ any maintance request. Left a tree on apartment for a week w/o any communication to residents or guarantors. I would advise living anywhere else but here.

I moved in with no working toilet so I put in a request to fix it. Maintenance somehow managed to flood my bathroom and room to the point stepping on the carpet felt like stepping on a wet sponge. Maintenance then put my toilet in my bathtub (I have picture evidence) and left it there for 2 days. To make matters worse, maintenance workers stole cologne from my bathroom, so I wouldn't recommend letting maintenance into your room if you're not there. Management here couldn't care less about anything, and they seem to actively avoid doing their job. Not once have they answered one of my emails or calls, I had to go to their office directly to get them to do anything. I put in a maintenance request to fix our front door at the beginning of the year and it never got fixed. Make sure you read your lease pretty thoroughly too, because they'll charge you hundreds in mandatory "cleaning" fees at the end of the year. I had a problem with cockroaches too, although I guess that's to be expected. The only saving grace of this place is that they matched me up with good roommates, although I have a feeling that was pure luck on my part.

I decided to live at Clemson Village for two years and it has been great. They have helped and answered us in a very timely manner on all occasions, the apartment is very nice, spacious, and feels safe. I love not having to pay to park at my apartment and the town hose style allowed us to really make it our own while we were at Clemson. I highly recommend living here if you're a student.!
