About this property
Choosing student accommodation isn't only about finding a room close to campus. It's about finding somewhere that fits naturally into your everyday routine. The place you live becomes where assignments get finished, meals are cooked, friendships begin, and late-night conversations happen after long days at university. Windsor House Cardiff offers that balance, giving students a central location with practical facilities and a comfortable place to settle throughout the academic year.
Set in the heart of Cardiff, Windsor House keeps many of the city's universities, transport links, cafés and shopping streets within easy reach. Students can choose from a collection of self-contained studios and apartments, each designed to provide privacy while still being part of a wider student community. With dedicated study spaces, social areas and all-inclusive utility bills, Windsor House student accommodation makes everyday living straightforward from the moment you move in.
Moving to a new city often comes with plenty of adjustments. There's a new timetable to get used to, unfamiliar streets to learn and people to meet along the way. Having accommodation that takes care of the essentials allows you to focus on everything else that university brings.
Windsor House has been created around the way students actually live. Rather than simply providing somewhere to stay, it offers spaces where different parts of university life come together. Quiet study rooms give you somewhere to prepare for assignments without distractions, while communal areas provide a chance to unwind after lectures or spend time with friends living in the building.
Accommodation is available in a range of studio and apartment layouts, making it suitable for different budgets and lifestyles. Students who enjoy having their own kitchen and living space can choose a private studio, while shared apartment options offer a good balance between independence and community.
Daily life is made easier by practical services including on-site management, laundry facilities and secure entry systems. Residents can also make use of the property's gym and cinema room without leaving the building. Altogether, Windsor House Cardiff offers a living environment that supports both academic commitments and life beyond the classroom.

A city-centre location changes the way you experience university. Instead of spending long periods commuting, you can make the most of your day knowing many of Cardiff's most useful places are only a short walk away. Living at Windsor House Cardiff means lectures, shopping, cafés and transport links all become part of your everyday routine.

Scarlett
I study at Cardiff uni and I've been living at Windsor House for 2 years. Here are some photos I've taken in daily life near WH. It has fantastic location--at Cardiff City Centre! It took me one minute to Queen street (big shopping centre, Boots, Tesco, M&S, Sainsburys, Banks...), around 6 mins to Cardiff Castle and 8 mins to Bute park. Additionally, it has lovely rooms with reasonable design and spacious public area for study and entertainment. BTW, all staff are very friendly and helpful! I hope these information will be useful for students who are planning to come to Cardiff for study and looking for a nice accommodation.

I am a phd student from Cardiff University, this is the most ideal location for me to access to the university and easy access to the city centre. The staff Ash is professional always and high efficiency to deal with work, He is patient and friendly. Nadia is very warm hearted and helpful to people, it is good to live here for the good service and location!

The accommodation is good but I had a very bad experience with one of the South Asian Receptionist. She was very rude and arrogant. She didn't had the manners and sense of how to talk especially with a student. Instead of helping and hearing out the situation, she was taunting and behaving in a very rude way. Instead of being present at the reception she was roaming around and chatting with other people. I had to wait for at least half an hour at the reception when needed but everytime instead of getting help I got myself insulted. This has happened with me a couple of times. Leaving her all of the other staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Please kindly have some training for the receptionist staff on how to behave and be friendly with students. Inspite the accommodation being very good but due to such bad behavior from the staff I won't recommend Windsor House to any of my friends. As a student I don't want any of my friends to go through such bad experience.

Would have been perfect apart from the fact that none of the windows in the whole flat opened. It was like an oven and was very uncomfortable to live in as it got stuffy easily - sometimes over 30 degrees with no fresh air. Complained and all they said was to buy a fan - in the end had to buy three fans to try and make it better… very disappointed, avoid flat 357
