Great memories at Livin Accommodation in City Road, I stayed here for 1 year during my MSc at Cardiff University, the manager at that time was Sara, she was very helpful with everything we needed. The place it quite close to the Engineering Building and it’s in the heart of the city, as this accommodation is located in the busiest Cardiff Road, this road has everything you need especially supermarket for Muslim students where you can find variety of Halal Food and restaurants.

The facilities and structure are really good and quite impressive however the receptionist is the most incompetent individual i’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. He arrives to the office late but leaves early on a frequent basis, i’ve only ever seen him work late maybe three or four times in the nine months i’ve lived here. Packages cannot be delivered as he’s never in office and there’s no security available. During weekends there’s no one in office and Godforbid you get locked out, it’s a £50 charge. The bad outweigh the little good there is. I’ve lived in other CRM properties and they are so much better than this place.

Great little spot to stay a couple of nights. Has a common room / gym / large dining room downstairs which is good for a group of you to chill and the door staff are very friendly. Some improvements which could be made are to fix some of the locks on the rooms as some are a bit wobbly and other are broken, this required one party of our group to change rooms. Another would be to make the sign in with guest operation a bit more slick as it took us 10-15 minutes to get signed in where with other hotels in the past it's been less than 5. But overall it's a good place and I'd use it again.

Don't let the pretty round windows distract you!! this Accomodation is pretty and very attractive on the outside but has severe issues regarding ventilation being loud, windows forced shut, water pressure, constant fire alarms going off, rooms being unclean when moving in (such as trash still being down the side of the bed), as well as service people entering your room whether you're in the room or not. we also had drunk men break into the reception as the door failed and police had to be called. the on-site staff are lovely and the rooms are pretty, but I would only recommend this place if they actually fix many of the major issues plaguing it.
