901 Western, urbana

Was fine until Ugroup took over. I avoided them for a reason but since they bought 901 while I was living there, I had no choice in the matter. Their reputation should speak for itself. Do know that they will try to extort you for as much as they can for cleaning when you leave, and then ignore you when you ask about it. If you're a student of the university, student legal services are free so make sure you take advantage of that.

Worst company to rent from. They don't care about their tenants. Most overpriced apartment you can pay for what you're getting. They make you pay for the entire month of August even though you move in mid August and they kick you out July 31st!!! Literally no security in the building for both mail and access to the building and garage. 1450 a month for a 1 bedroom is not worth it when all you get is a sad excuse for a gym. One time the maintenance people came to do an inspection on my room with no prior notice, switched the lock on my door without switching it back, and I was locked out of my room for the night. Didn't do anything to compensate. The maintenance requests you do submit they wait until the end of the lease and have someone go around asking all the tenants if there was an issue and by that time I had fixed the issue myself. Overall do not rent from this company. They don't care and they just want to rip off students who want to live close to campus. Don't make the same mistake I did!!!

This has to be one of the nicest apartment complexes on campus. Not only are the amenities great, but the building as a whole is very clean and well kept. The staff is also super helpful and made the leasing process very smooth. They were always willing to work with me if I had any problems, and answered all of my many questions. Wonderful experience!

It's a nice place to live. The apartments are clean, have the right amenities set, and nothing feels particularly bad in any way. Leasing company is pretty good at what they do. Responsive maintenance. Neighborhood is pretty good. Nothing too crazy happens, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes the public spaces get a little dirty, but they are always cleaned up. I wish the bedrooms were a little bigger, but I'm still quite happy with them. As a bicyclist, I wish access were a little better. I'm very grateful for garage parking with garage temperatures being above freezing at all times, which really helps my bike out from a maintenance perspective. However, I wish getting in and out of the building were easier. It's not very fun to open two doors, one having relatively tight access, when you want to get your bike in. There are a lot of people who hog the racks closest to the exit, which isn't fair to those who actually bike in the winter season. Other than the small qualms with biking stuff, the complex is pretty good. I'll be living here next year. Not having to move is a great perk!

I subleased a one bedroom apartment here for the summer and had a great stay. Beautiful new apartments with great amenities- loved the courtyard especially. Staff was always helpful in answering any questions I had and the building was always kept in great shape. Good location near engineering campus, definitely within walking distance of anywhere you might need to be. Would stay again for sure
