Save yourself the headache - Highlander at North Campus is a nightmare Avoid this place if you value your time, money, and peace of mind. From start to finish, my experience at the Highlander at North Campus was awful. First, they'll steal your deposit, plain and simple. You move in expecting a clean, functional space, but instead, you're met with broken furniture and a filthy apartment that's clearly not up to any reasonable standard. They don't even bother to uphold basic cleanliness or maintenance for new tenants, yet expect you to leave the place spotless when moving out. The move-out process itself is a scam. They'll go out of their way to find the most trivial reasons to slap you with move-out fees, taking advantage of students and residents by squeezing every penny they can. They demand a "professionally cleaned" apartment upon move-out, which would be understandable if they had held themselves to that standard in the first place. Highlander at North Campus is unprofessional, overpriced, and completely exploitative. Do yourself a favor and find another place to live where they at least respect their residents and honor the basic standards of property management. I thoroughly cleaned this apartment until I had blisters on both of my hands in an effort to avoid fees upon moving out. I was still met with an insane amount of charges to my account. See for yourself.

Truly awful. The front desk might be getting paid to NOT do their job. Yes, some are helpful, upper management has yet to fail me, yet. However, there have been multiple times where I've asked for help with a package, they say they dont have it, than a competent employee comes and finds it immediately. There are 3-4 leasing office employees that have to be high when they're working, I dont see how you can do such a terrible job otherwise. Most of the maintenance crew is helpful, with the exception of this heavy set fellow with a ginger beard. He likes to go on power trips. On top of all this, the walls are thin, they fine you for the smallest things, rent is too damn high, and honestly I can go on.

Ajah was extremely nice and didn’t sugarcoat anything. Everything was explained clearly, and the tour was perfect. They took the time to answer all my questions and made the whole process feel very comfortable and straightforward. I really appreciated the honesty and how welcoming everything felt. I can’t wait to live here in fall 2026.

(Been living here 3-4 years) The strongest highlight of this place is the kind and friendly maintenance staff. Even the one star reviews shout-out the staff and/or know them by name, that says it all. Im a super anxious/nervous person in public but Levar and a few other staff always say hello and recognize me even though I barely go out. (Very sweet and I feel bad because Im too nearsighted + avoiding eye contact to recognize them first

As a new tenant living here has honestly been a great experience so far. The place feels safe, things are kept up nicely, and anytime I’ve needed help it’s been easy to get. I really want to give a shout-out to Ajah and Daija at the front desk — they’re always super friendly and actually make coming by the office enjoyable. They answered all my random questions without hesitation. Little things like that make a big difference and it shows the office really cares. Overall, I’ve been really happy here and appreciate the people who make it such a comfortable place to live.
