My husband and I rented from them in a duplex that’s just by the centennial apartments and this is the worst management we’ve ever had to deal with. We had issues with mold and moisture in our place (photos included) and they neglected it for a month before doing anything and denied everything. They let us leave 7 months early from our lease and they just wanted us out of there because they didn’t want to really fix it. They just caulked the window sills where mold was growing and called it good. You could literally still see mold underneath the caulk because they didn’t even take the time to clean the mold before caulking. The couple who was there before us had the same problem, and both they and we experienced that if we left items against the walls for too long, mold would grow on them. Our clothes and sheets always felt slightly damp. That duplex on 300 N that they own is slowly falling apart and is not habitable, yet they continue to have people rent from them. Incompetent, selfish, careless, lazy, negligent management. Never rent from them from any property they own.

Rarely do I take time to post a review but the cleaning checks are a scam to collect money. Management is very dishonest. Charged $100 for a failed cleaning check after management came in and said “you’re good.” Maybe we misunderstood…? They tacked on a $45 late fee the same day they issued the fee. When I questioned it, they said oh our system automatically charges a late fee, it will come off your account once the $100 is paid. What? Would never recommend.

Great customer service to get you signed on, and a nice place to live. But slimy about transferring our contract (which is often a necessity by BYU students). They gave him his own contract instead of the one we filled out to transfer to mine. Even though we followed their instructions throughout the process. And then they stone walled us. Would not communicate back or give us managers info. In the end it appears they tricked my friend into signing a separate contract instead of taking over mine. Be warned. This is bad business looking for more $$$

This is probably the worst apartment complex you could live in, just because of the management. Me and my roommates switched apartments and were told we could move in to our new one early, and we were told we would just do the cleaning check for the new one because that is where we would be living when it happened. We were given 24 hours to move out, and there were still girls living in our new apartment, but they were not told we were coming early. So, we were barely able to move in within the 24 hours, which was completely a management problem because they should have communicated that with these girls. Then when we turned in our packets to move out of our old apartment, we were told we failed a cleaning check, even though they said we would be responsible for our new apartment’s and not our old apartment’s. They lied to us because they wanted to make more money off of us for failing both, and would not say they miscommunicated, even though the general BYU contracted housing office admitted to it being a miscommunication. The people working at the office are not trained well and everyone gives you different answers for different situations, so it’s clear they are not given good instructions. The cleaning checks are ridiculous, and if you fail the white glove you are charged a $25 fail fee and a $75 fee for cleaners to come in and fix it. And, cleaners never came in to our old apartment to do that, because we had someone at the apartment at all times to test this, and they never came. Also one of the people who do cleaning checks admitted to us that there is a quota that they have to meet for failing people or else she would get in trouble and possibly lose her job, which is insane. This was also clear because we asked people in our ward if their apartment failed the white glove check, and with everyone we asked 3/6 failed, every single time. Everyone working in the office is incredibly frustrating with zero understanding, so I would recommend living literally anywhere else!!!

I like centennial. There are just 2 things I don’t like 1. The cleaning checks are too strict, too frequent, and badly timed. I’m specifically thinking about having to deep clean the apartment right in the middle of finals week. That was brutal. Plus, if you mess up the cleaning checks, they over-charge you to fix it. My buddy got charged $120 for not cleaning the stove “good enough”. Like I’m fine if we need to do a re-check, just don’t charge so much. If it was really about keeping the apartment clean and not about making money from us, they would have us re-do it for free. 2. They give out more parking passes than they have parking stalls, so if you show up later than like 10pm on a week night you don’t find parking
