My daughter moved in Fall 2025 and it’s been a very good experience! I was very concerned about the reviews and I visited the property several times before signing any contracts. She has a private room in THE VIEW style dorms. She has her own bathroom and she enjoys the dorms as a whole. It has been a very good experience. They have weekly activities for the residents and the Resident Assistants are responsive whenever we have any concerns. This was a solid choice for my daughter’s first year of college. I love that there are security guards on the first floor. She also has access to washing machines and dryers on each floor. The only complaint I have is that when we get off the elevator on her floor, it smells like marijuana at times coming from other areas. I’m not sure if the anti-smoking rules are being addressed. But she feels safe and enjoys her private space and enjoys the opportunities to meet up with her roommates whenever possible. Overall, it’s been a solid experience and I’m glad we tried UnionWest for the first year.

Toured these apartments, the building could be cleaner, seemed dusty overall. Security was meh. The building was empty due to it being summer, so I expected more cleanliness. The tour confirmation email stated to park in future residents parking, which there is none. Called and mentioned the parking instructed to park in garage and the email was AI. I asked them to correct it and the young man stated "we are not responsible for that..." Our tour guide Abigail was great and she was the highlight of the visit, very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. For $1500 a month and barebones amenities cleanliness should be better. Cost of downtown.

UnionWest seems like a good place at first, but don't opt for the double option. I have a roommate that had made me genuinely made me consider switching to a different apartment entirely. They will promise you a transfer but management won't give any information. The operators when you call are nice and they do their best, however management could care less about you. Parking is an extra $117 a month, so it's just worth it to get a studio! Also yes, cockroaches are an issue, but it has gotten a lot better since the beginning of the year.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is my second year living here, and I can honestly say this place has been a terrible experience. The biggest issue is cleanliness — roaches are a constant problem, the property is dirty, and living conditions have been disgusting. I’ve also had some of the weirdest and nastiest roommates here, which only made things worse. The only real positive is being close to downtown. Other than that, it’s not even close to UCF (about a 15-minute drive), so if you’re choosing this for convenience to campus, think twice. Also, what looks “cheap” at first isn’t actually cheap. Parking is over $100 a month, laundry costs extra, and those fees add up fast. For student housing, charging extra for basics like parking and laundry is ridiculous. Management keeps pushing deals, dropping prices, and offering free incentives, but there’s a reason for that — people are not renewing and they’re losing residents. Don’t let those deals fool you. They’re doing whatever they can to get people to sign. For the price, there are way better options in Orlando. Between the roaches, dirty environment, strange roommates, and overall poor living experience, I would not recommend living here to anyone. If I could give zero stars, I would. Save yourself the stress and live somewhere else.

This place is horrible. When I first moved in, they pressured me to write a positive review in exchange for a favor, but after living here for a year, I am undoing that review to tell the truth. Take notes: if anything happens to you here, make sure you have proof. If you ever try to bring up an issue, they will lie straight to your face. The building is infested with roaches—it is nasty and it stinks. On top of that, there is only a 50/50 chance you’ll actually get help from the staff when you need it. You shouldn't have to 'hope' for assistance in your own home. I will never live here again. I am incredibly grateful my lease is finally up so I can tell the truth without fearing retaliation while living there
