The Ridge Clemson, central-sc

I went on a tour today and everything looked great. It’s affordable when comparing to other options and it’s fully furnished minus TV’s. The floors plan was very spacious in my opinion; where everyone could be out of their bedroom and not crammed, fighting for air. The outdoor hangout space looks very nice, especially for spring and late summer/early fall activities.

First impression, outside landscaping is nice. Needs a some upkeep: trash bins in street and all knocked over, trash in dog park…and with respect to this country and all who defend her, please replace the torn flag.

Amira was absolutely wonderful when she took us on the tour of the property. She was very knowledgeable and professional. Lexy was amazing as well and gave us very important information we needed. Definitely our first runner up!!!

While the 4 bedroom townhomes are spacious including a good sized kitchen and bonus area the interactions with management were consistently disappointing. Mail was lost throughout the time I lived here or simply not logged yet still in the mailroom. Office hours are never accurate and if they say they’re open they’re probably not. There is not enough maintenance staff and you can expect anything you ask to be fixed to be ignored. The unit I moved into evidently had not been vacant for 5 years. This meant that there were damages throughout the living spaces that were never solved. Additionally, if you are moving in make sure to check behind any decor / furniture that is already in the apartment as you WILL be charged for damages that you did not cause. It doesn’t matter if that is caused by a leak from another apartment or a former resident damaging the walls. Dogs are not allowed in the pools for obvious reasons however multiple days I saw office staff not only allowing dogs into the pool but encouraging them. The utility charges changed to be much higher recently and were consistently back dated 1-3 months which prevented you from changing the usage to decrease the charges. Even when no one was in the unit the charges were still incredibly high compared to the 4 other apartment complexes I have lived in. Overall I would absolutely NOT recommend signing a lease here unless you are ready to throw away money every month even after you move out.

The staff is patient, friendly and helpful ALWAYS! Maintenance responds promptly. Love the pool! Wish The Ridge had one bedroom unit apartments for after graduation. Now, parking is sometimes stressful; however overall a great place to stay! Thank you!
