Academy Square Apartments, cedar-city-ut

I lived here for two years while attending SUU and it was great. I also lived at Windsor, where I had a very positive experience with the management (the same couple manages Academy Square & Windsor) while dealing with a roommate issue that was handled very gracefully. Academy Square is great though it’s getting more expensive. For Fall 2024-Spring 2025 I paid $1,800 in rent for the full semester, which is probably among the cheapest rent in Cedar. The utilities were not included but were super cheap - about $15-20 per month per person with four people in the apartment. The parking lot never filled up, the distance to campus is about a 20 minute walk or a three minute drive or a five minute bike ride (downhill!), there’s a covered bike rack area, WiFi is included, there is LOTS of pantry space, rent and deposits are paid on Venmo, and there are sinks in each bathroom. I also liked that residents have the ability to send a text to management about any questions or concerns. I always got a very timely response when I used the text line. The maintenance guy, Baron, is AWESOME and works super quickly and is very friendly. Maintenance requests are pretty much always fulfilled within a day or so and when he comes to fix stuff he gets right to work and if you blink you might miss it. I don’t think they keep very good track of the smoke alarms, because one time my roommate’s was chirping and when I looked at it it said it should have been replaced like three years prior. But I sent a text about it and it was replaced the next day.

Pretty good apartments all things considered. Fully furnished, spacious apartment. Only complaints are the carpet/kitchen, which are functional but old and damaged. The wifi/power also cuts out regularly, but for the price it's hard to beat.

My favorite apartments i’ve ever lived in. Very spacious for a college apartment. The room had a big closet, dresser, and enough room to put your own desk. My only complaint is that the wifi was pretty bad. Couldn’t even think of playing COD or another PVP game without lag. Other then that I would 10/10 live there again if I still lived in Cedar.

Great apartments. No hassle with overly excessive cleaning checks. Management no longer lives on site. Neighbors are fairly quiet. Tons of parking.
