Thunderbird Landing SUU Student Housing, cedar-city-ut

My daughter lived here for a year. She liked having her own bedroom and bathroom, but the bedrooms are tiny. So tiny. The managers are hard to get ahold of. She rarely could get them to reply to her. When I helped her move in, I walked around in my socks on the carpet and they were black by the time we were done. The carpets were so gross. When she moved out, we left the place spotless. She even cleaned up all the mess left by the other 5 roommates. But we still got shorted $80.37 from her deposit. I called and asked why and they told me they would send me an itemized list of deductions. I have texted and emailed and called and they not replied again. I am super frustrated. I would not recommend living here.

Great apartments! Everything is very up to date, and the new managers are awesome! I don't really even hear the freeway and internet speed is always great. Very comfortable living, especially with having your own room and bathroom. Still really close to campus, and is definitely worth the cost.

The complex is one of the newer and nicer college housing options in Cedar. Rooms are on the small side, but that's the standard for college housing. I loved having my own bathroom, as well as tons of living space and storage in the kitchen. Internet was great, parking was always available and managers were quick to help and easy to work with. My only complaint is you're right by the freeway, which can be loud.

While I always try to be an agreeable tenant, I'm a disabled transgender man with assistance animals and that can be alarming to some landlords and managers. While applying for places this summer, I had several places trying to put me in female only housing because it's what my ID happens to say. I'm 6' tall and have a beard, it's safe to say I would make a poor candidate for passing as a lady. I had no such issues with applying with Josh and Kaylin. They were incredible about accommodating my disability (mobility issues) and recognizing that I'm a man and present as such. They were absolutely wonderful about finding an apartment for myself and my friend where we wouldn't have to pretend to be someone we weren't just to keep ourselves from being homeless. Thanks to these new, wonderful managers, we both feel safe and supported in comfortable, clean apartments.
