I’ve lived at University Trails for 3 years during my graduate degree program and couldn’t have had a better off-campus housing experience. When I heard this property has the largest resort-style pool in Ann Arbor, I had to see it for myself and will say it’s the reason why I moved here. Aside from the amazing amenities, the units are spacious and private with porches that have amazing views that overlook the neighborhood, and if you get lucky, you can even see Michigan Stadium from afar. I couldn’t recommend a better place to live as a student in Ann Arbor. Thank you to leasing agent Marley for making my experience the best it can be!

I loved touring here Adrian was so sweet and answered all my questions. She was so bubbly and nice and highlighted all the amenities here. I look forward to possibly moving here and referring my friends and family!

This is my first year living at University Trails and so far my experience has been great. Moving in was a little rough because the house was not fully cleaned with sticky pots and dirt left behind in the kitchen and the dishwasher smelled of rotting food, but with cleaning the first day and continual dishwasher use it got better. The drain protector in my bathroom sink was missing which was a little odd but it hasn’t been an issue. When you have a problem, the people at the front desk are attentive and helpful in getting it fixed. The shuttles can be a little inconsistent, but most of the time that is due to classes getting out and blocking traffic. The shuttle drivers can be nice, especially Glenn who always meets passenger with a smiling face and snacks. He even has treat for the dog friends in the neighborhood. He is also a very smooth driver and is sure to avoid any turbulence. He has made my experience here feel welcoming.

I have lived in the trails for the past few months, and it has been great. One of the main reasons I pick the trails is due to the shuttle system. The shuttle definitely has its bright spots. My favorite drivers, Glenn and Dan, are genuinely the best, always respectful, friendly, and careful. You can tell they genuinely care about the students, and riding with them always feels safe. Unfortunately, not every driver holds the same standard. Two of the drivers have been driving in a way that feels unsafe and careless. There have been many moments when they’ve almost hit students, taken turns too fast, and even caused people to fall inside the bus due to sudden or reckless movements. The speeding is noticeable too, and it makes a lot of us uncomfortable. This is a constant problem and needs to be addressed.

Edit: After living here for a while, I regret signing with this place. They have made some changes (not good ones). The electricity bill was hiked up to $200-$300 per person suddenly during the winter when everyone was on break and the only thing running was the heat. They still have not fixed it. Also, this place is far from campus and it seems like they forgot their place in this market. They are now beginning to charge for parking. Just find a place downtown; you'll be paying the same or maybe a little bit more; but it will be way worth it. Also the dumpsters are not accessible for people with disabilities. There is no side entrances and you will have to chuck your trash over your head to get it in there. This is a charming neighborhood with some excellent staff willing to help you and make sure you are having a good experience. Especially Isaiah who never forgot who I was when I encountered an issue while trying to move in. Whenever I reached out to Isaiah he showed genuine willingness to help and did it with professionalism. I used to be a commuter traveling about 3 hours per day to get to and from campus. The shuttle provided by University Trails is convenient and feels quite luxurious. The clubhouse has lots of amenities freely available.
