The Grange Leicester, leicester

Absolute terrible accommodation. The staff, specially the security are so incompetent. They’re lazy and don’t like doing their job as well as very patronising when asking for simple requests such as collecting a parcel from reception. They also enjoy sleeping with the shutter closed while on shift and when they’re not sleeping, they’re having a very loud conversation on the phone😂. The maintenance team don’t like responding to issues and will drag it out for as long as possible. As well as this, when asking for normal necessities like a kettle, the management team don’t like checking up on it which is ridiculous. Not to mention the smell in the corridors that last for months and months which never got checked. On top of this, the layout of the accommodation is awful. Why is there only one lift and if you live in C block you have to walk 3 minutes to get to it (very dreadful when moving in or out). The Grange Leicester is not for anyone who wants to have a good university experience. Be careful when booking the photos online are very misleading😂. Would not recommend AT ALL!!

Utterly terrible student accommodation. A year ago, they hired builders to maintain the building and comply with regulations, which was fine. However, one of these builders drilled through a poster of mine. They could have removed the poster temporarily or drilled elsewhere. Furthermore, my bathroom sink has been having serious plumbing issues (smell) and the team here have done nothing. I have made official maintenance requests and even emailed reception, but no response. I would recommend literally any other student accommodation in Leicester. Do not stay here!

i have been living here since September & it's possibly the worst student accommodation i've ever stayed in. there was a decomposing rat in the reception and the receptionist told me he'd clean it (he didn't). the whole accommodation has a rotting smell as well which is unhygienic! DON'T STAY HERE !!!!

Terrible accommodation, the staff don’t know what they’re doing and behave as if dealing with students is a nuisance and not their job. The manager is incompetent, the pictures for the rooms are deceptive and the amenities are the bare minimum. If you try to call the reception you won’t reach anyone because the team are usually not doing their job. Probably the worst accommodation for the price being paid in Leicester - I’m convinced the accounts giving 5 star ratings are just staff, because everyone I know who has booked here has regretted it immensely (and it’s mostly inexperienced first years anyway since anyone that’s not new to uni in Leicester knows this place is the worst). 1 star is too much for the grange

If I could give it no stars I would, all the five stars you see are bots. This accommodation is easily the worst in Leicester, the staff have poor attitudes and are incompetent and the amenities are awful - not to mention the placement of the accommodation itself, with cars always roaring down the road. The most they should be charging is £80 a week for their en-suites, and that’s me being generous. If you’re planning to study in Leicester - do yourself a favour and don’t stay here
