Worst accommodation ever. If you want a place that takes zero responsibility and makes your life hell- I would suggest booking a room here. For starters, my room flooded and nobody bothered to inform me, I only found out because my flatmate told me. They still haven’t informed me that it’s been flooded btw or what has caused it. Lift hasn’t worked for the majority of the tenancy, shower is literally orange, window is broken and they refuse to fix it, fire alarms constantly blaring, will promise a cleaning rota or meetings but never deliver, will promise bathroom and kitchen checks but never deliver, will blame you for genuine faults (for example I reported lack of hot water multiple times before they fixed it), tap constantly falls off sink, back gate doesn’t shut properly, they don’t even know basic land law and the fact they have violated so many statutes, random maintenance checks came into my room without any notice (one guy came in whilst I was asleep), don’t respond to emails so why they are suggesting that on these responses idk. They also promised me compensation which I never received. I requested to cancel my tenancy and put it back up for sale but after my flat has flooded, I highly doubt this will be possible now.

When I studied at DMU I stayed in the now gone Filbert Village (diabolical place to live). I couldn't afford a better place to live and fully relied on that student loan. Thanks to COVID I got to stay away from Filbert Village and save my rent for the final part of the stay. Using that money I could afford to upgrade for second year. I upgraded to a studio at Grange Lane Apartments (then Athena Apartments). I had a small but cozy apartment. I felt extremely happy there. All bills included, suitable heating which I could control fully, big wardrobe, a good kitchen with an oven that prepared food normally, great shower, nice designed rooms, and very nice staff over in The Grange's reception. The mattress wasn't good though and I 100% needed a mattress topper. Otherwise my back would be in shatters. Also, I hated my neighbours as they were ignorant of noise - but that's a fault on them not the apartment so I shan't rate it down. The place was so nice I stayed for final year (by that point it had become Grange Lane Apartments). For a cheaper price than the second year, I upgraded to a bigger studio which was fantastic. I had more space. Just had a very nice stay and I low-key miss it since graduating.

Worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in I’ve seen different types of insects in my bathroom and kitchen. They don’t clean the place and the lifts get out of service. Myself and a few others have been living with these horrible conditions since we’ve moved here. I had to take a massive spider out myself with no help. Please Save your money guys it is not worth the cheap price.

Do not book this accomodation they do not keep the shared areas clean and the lift was broken for 6 months of the lease. There are silverfish everywhere worst experience ever.
